Detectives discovered two bodies, one male one female, on the floor.

Beside them was a small puddle of water and some broken glass.

The detectives knew right away Larry and Mary suffocated to death.

How?

The room was completely empty of furniture. The only thing in the room was a man hanging three feet off the floor from the ceiling. The detectives first thought it was a homicide until they noticed a small puddle of water on the floor. Then they changed their findings to suicide. Why?
