What is the holy ghost?

The holy ghost is a term used in place of Holy Spirit.

It is God's active force he uses. He used to create the universe, humans and all other creation.

The Holy Ghost(Holy Spirit) is the 3rd person on the Godhead and is also the working will of God, as in the Father makes the plans(Salvation), the Son carries out the plans(Jesus participation in kinship with man to save man from sin), the Holy Spirit holds the plans together. Read John 14:26

The Holy Ghost is the mobile manifestation of God that is everything that God is.

As a Pentecostal who was baptized by "The Holy Ghost," as we say, and have Spoken in Tongues surely more than anyone here, I have come to believe that it is a massive exaggeration to say that the biblical Christians or we modern Pentecostals were in any way directly associated with the entirety of God, when they or we were baptized with The Holy Ghost, and that that experience is something far short of that.

Otherwise, we have to believe that baptizing a person is such a draining and traumatic experience for God that He develops virtually complete amnesia, aphasia, and all sorts of other *sias I can't think of and don't know about right now, and became as flat as an expiring battery. this is really not funny. Everyone who is Baptized by The Holy Ghost ought to be like... well, Green Lantern, or Thanos with The Infinity Mitten, or something. Instead of being more like a Goa'uld with a bad migraine, who can hardly function.

The holy ghost is a part of the trinity- God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. God is three spirits in one. The spirit is mentioned in Genesis 1 with the creation of everything (God's spirit hovered over the waters). The Holy spirit is also what allows us to speak in tongues, keep a righteous life, and give us the fruits of the spirit. He has a job just like God the Father and God the Son (Jesus). And that is to move us into action and into right paths with God.

The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is described by Jesus as a helper much like an extension of the Lord in spirit form which can live in the hearts of men & minister to them. It's like a spiritual connection with Jesus.

There are two usages of the word holy ghost (actually it is holy spirit - pnuema = spirit and hagion = holy)

The first is The Holy Spirit meaning God himself.

The second is the holy spirit which is the gift from God and is also known as Christ.

It is the actual Spirit of God . Just like you know that you have a spirit , where you can see yourself from outside of yourself . Jesus has a spirit too , where he gives parental HUGs to those who seriously seek his help . And Jesus will also use your body in order to do a miracle if you ask him . But that spirit of Jesus isn't necessarily the same as God's Holy Spirit . You have to be baptized by someone like John The Baptist first before you can receive God's Holy Spirit ; just like Jesus did . Come to Independence , Mo. if you want to be truly Baptized .

The Spirit of God that exists in every human. The father (GOD) The son (JESUS) And the Holy ghost(Spirit of God) They are all one in the same. Its called the Trinity. Dont sweat trying to understand it now, it will come to you as you go.

He is the 3rd Member of the Holy Godhead and is a personage of spirit..... simply put.

His role is to testify of all truth.

THE HOLY GHOST IS GOD HIMSELF!

God is SPIRIT.
