Things to do while in Santa Barbara?

    I've always been fond of Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort, for its proximity to the beach, and nice accomodations.

    As for things to do, it depends on your likes.

    If you like wine tasting, SB is a great place to use as home base. There are many wineries in the area, especially up the hill in the Santa Inez Valley.

    Solvang is a cute little Danish town, just up highway 101 or 152.

    Shopping on State Street is a lot of fun. So is dining and bar hopping.
