My daughter bought a Lg prime touch screen phone and the screen is not responding correctly?

My daughter bought a touch screen Lg prime cellar phone in November of last year. Now the touch screen is not responding correctly to commands. When she touches messages it goes to her address book instead. She has called AT&T, where she had purchased it, and was told to take off the battery, and put it back on which she did. Then it worked for a little while that day, and then the same thing. Then she tried it again and no change, and then later on that day it worked fine, then after that it did not. What could be the problem?

touch screens do that over time. Mine done the same thing and the volume kept going up and down dring a phone call.. S one secondit would be to loud then the next second it would be on mute.. The only thing you can do is to either turn it off for a day and see if that works.. If it doesnt then send it in to be repaired.. Reason i say to turn it off is because these days phones are like computers.. They need to be turned off or they go slow or dont work properly.. If that doesnt work though you will need to get it repaired..

Sounds like it has been dropped too many times (mom of teen girls with phones). I am hoping you purchased an extended warranty. If not, you will have to pay to have it fixed, live with it, or buy a new phone. Next phone get the extended warranty..will not cover everything, but will cover defective phones and normal wear and tear..well worth the $50.

The touch screen might be a little worn out as it may be cheap, or try clibrating the touch screen look through the setting you may find it. Hope I helped!
