Can the Mortgage Company prevent my Grown Child from moving a home on my land? ?
My Husband and I have over a 1/2 acre of land and we had a newly built home built on our land many years ago in the late 90s, and are still paying the mortgage. My Grown daughter has a son and wants to put a Mobile home behind us on our land. Do we need to ask the mortgage company for permission before allowing her to do so? And can the Mortgage company prevent her from doing so and what reason would they?
12 AnswersRenting & Real Estate2 weeks agoWhat can my daughter and I do to prevent my Grand Child who's 5 years old from being held back in Kindergarten?
My daughter informed me that my 5 year old Grandchild's Teacher wants him to repeat kindergarten here in Mississippi? My Grand Child can count to 100, knows his shapes and colors (since he was 2 years old), he's learned how to add and subtract. The Teacher says that he's a very mannerable child, he works well in a group and one on one, but individually he seems distracted (Some days he does his board work and sometimes he doesn't).We asked my Grand Child why is he not doing his board work, he says that he can't see the board, he's now wearing glasses. He is doing better and has been getting smiley faces, but still at times is distracted, and needs to work more on his handwriting. She advises my daughter that she thinks my Grand Son should repeat Kindergarten along with other students. My Family and I disagree, due to the Pandemic his Headstart was cut short. During Kindergarten school started late, then Students went in small groups on selected days (which means they weren't going everyday). Then the Students were put on quarantine in February due to a Student being diagnoised with the Covid, and were off for two weeks. I don't think this is fair to my Grandchild or the other students who suppose to be held back because of the pandemic.
My Question is what can my daughter do to prevent my Grand Child from being held back? We are meeting with the Teacher, but she says that it most likely will stand. Should we go to the School Board after we talk with the Teacher?
11 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education4 weeks agoCan Someone give me some good solid advice on what I should do to help my Schizophrania husband?
My husband of 25 years had been diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia and Bipolar in 1999. He was taking his medicine regularly, and then stopped in 2005, where I saw his mental illness went from being under control to very bad. My husband who was seeing a Psychologist (once a month), and a Therapist (twice a month) had started to refuse to go to his visits any longer. He was getting worse talking to himself, getting angry, and seeing things that weren't there. He also accused me and others of plotting to do things to him that were not true. I was told then by his Therapist when I told her what was going on to go to the Chancery Clerk here in Mississippi where I live, and have the Police pick him up to be admitted in one of the Mental Clinics. When the Police arrived I was very shocked and saddened that they put the mentally ill in handcuffs, and in jail. I was also shocked to see my husband in a Orange jumpsuit with handcuffs and shackles on in Court, like he was a criminal. He went to the Mental Clinic and stayed about 2 1/2 weeks, and come home. I promised myself that I would never do that again, because it hurt me to see that. My husband took his medicine for some months, and then off and on, and then completely stopped. I then along with his Therapist talked him into admitting himself back into the Clinic instead of being arrested again, this was around 2007. After that my husband took his meds for a little while, and again refused to take it. I didn't know at the time, that my Mother in law who lives in Illinois, for years was agreeing with my husband that he didn't need any medicine, and that nothing was seriously wrong with him, until he left me, and went to stay with her and she got a small taste of what My daughter and I was going through, and she herself told him he had to leave. He return back to me, and had gotten worse this was in 2010. I then again had to go to the Chancery Clerk, and the same process again. I had no choice. This time he was admitted into a Mental Hospital for a Month. I hoped that things were going to get better. My husband come home and seem to be doing well, and then a couple of weeks later, He got off his meds, and flew to Illinois to stay with his Mother again, paying his Mom rent. Then he come home 3 months later. Things had gotten from bad to worse where he would refuse his medicine, and leave and go back and forward to his mother's. Then at the end of 2011 he left, and I was sad to say, I Was glad to see him go, because I was so stressed out from his illness, that it was making me physically ill, with headaches, depression and high blood pressure. I couldn't take it anymore, and was hoping he would live with his Mom permanently or get his own place. I was happy just to know he was with his family, but things changed where he left his Mom's accusing her and her boyfriend of saying or plotting to do things to him. He called our daughter who was 21 at the time, that he had move to South Carolina. We learned from him that he was living in homeless shelters, and sometimes sleeping outside in the park. He then saved his Social Security and bought a used truck, and was living in that. My husband was gone almost 2 years. He then called and said he wanted to come home, and was tired of living that way. My husband is now home a month since July 2013, and the first week up to now has been the worse. He talks all the time to himself, that I sleep in the guest room. He have all kinds of angry episodes over anything, and calls me and my daughter names. He goes from talking to himself to laughing for no reason to himself out loud, to fussing with himself. He also says he is leaving again when he gets his S.S. money, and go where no one in his family will know where he is at this time. I know I have to put him in the Hospital before September gets here, and soon when he gets another check. My Question is? How can I get him to stay on his medicine (can it be Court ordered) that if he doesn't he could be picked up anywhere. Also how can I prevent him from leaving when he's endangering himself, and not to mention being wasteful with his money buying things he doesn't need like jewelry and etc., and not helping with any of our bills or Mortgage leaving me with all the burdens. HOW CAN I HELP MY HUSBAND WHO HAS GOTTEN WORSE OVER TIME? HOW CAN I GET HIM TO STAY ON HIS MEDICINES IF HE IS IN DENIAL THAT HE HAS A MENTAL PROBLEM? I NEED HELP PLEASE! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Also he acts likes he hates me, when I have him forced into a hospital.
5 AnswersMarriage & Divorce8 years agoWhat advice can you give me? Do you think my Ex is talking about me?
I am on my mother' s page. I am is 22 years old and was involved last fall in a relationship in College. My boyfriend and I at the time became very close, and even talked of marriage after College. The thing that broke us up is my Ex (who's in a Fraternity and a leader, and I am in a Sorority) was seen around the Campus with another female who was once his ex. My friends and even friends of us both told me about seeing my then boyfriend around the Campus with this girl, and how he is known to go from female to female before he met me. Anyway I confront him about each situation that he was seen with his ex. He told me that I need to trust him. Then one day he gave me a friendship bracelet saying that we're not broken up, but that we need a break apart. I was so hurt, but he assured me it's just to focus on our studies, and will make our relationship stronger. I went to a party and saw my then boyfriend dancing with the girl, and the girl was dancing all sexual on him, and he had his shirt open. He assured me it was nothing but they was having fun. My boyfriend although on this break was still intimate with me. I then learned from him that he had cheated on me not with his ex but another girl. I was hurt and was crying so hard that felt like I couldn't breathe. He promise me he was so sorry, and seem to mean it after days apart, we then decided to work things out. Then he told me again that it happened again a month later. I told him that it was over. He then started seeing the girl He cheated on me with. I was so hurt and am slowly trying to move on. I started seeing this guy who was about to pledge the Fraternity he's in, and this guy and I was hugged up at the party, and my ex text me the next day saying if you are seeing that guy or sleeping with him. He can forget about being in the Fraternity. My ex text my friend guy the same message. Anyway at another party my Ex gets drunk and says that he was about to marry this girl really loud to everyone but she never trusted him. (Talking about me). Recently we were texting each other because he keeps playing with her emotions giving me the impressions we had a chance we're getting back together, and telling our friends. So I decided to end this triangle of him not choosing and deleted him off of my Facebook, and told him I have a right to see who I want. I stopped all communications 3 weeks ago. 2 days ago recently I saw on his page where he posted a remark on his picture on Facebook. It says THE WORSE FEELING IS FEELING LIKE YOUR'E PAYING FOR EVERYTHING THE EX DID. His current girlfriend says on there That's how you feel. Could he be talking about me or of his girlfriend of now 5 months who has been known to cheat on him, and also was having problems with her ex before him. I know I should leave this alone, but I wondering Could this be me he's talking about?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoWhy is this guy playing with my daughter emotions?
My Daughter is at an out-of-state College, and had met this guy who is in a Fraternity who seemed to like her, this was last summer. When my then 21 year old daughter come home from school, this guy tells my daughter he would like to visit with her for a few days over the summer. The young man come to our home, and seemed very polite, confident and very smart, with bright plans for his future. I was really pleased with this young man, and was impressed that he would spent so much money and time to drive to another state to see my daughter. I hit it off with this young man immediately, and liked the way he treated my daughter. My daughter who was a virgin ended up giving herself to this young man. She was invited to be with him during the summer break for a couple of weeks, which she did go. Then when school started they continue to date, but a few months into the relationship, he started saying he needed a break to focus on his education, and on Fraternity business which he is in charge of at the College. My daughter became saddened by this, and didn't understand. He gave her a friendship bracelet, saying that it was a promise they would get back together. Those who knew this guy really well at the College told my daughter, that he was known to get tired of whoever he dates quite quickly and moves on to another girl. He assured my daughter this was not true, but she saw him at parties with girls separately dancing on him sexually. He assured her that he's not seeing them. He was still intimate with my daughter during this break. Then people would tell my daughter they seen him with this girl and that girl at the stores, in his car, at his house and etc., Finally they officially broke it off completely when he admitted that he sleeping with a wannabe sorority girl (who are not official sorority sisters at all), that the Frats party with. My daughter was devastated. She cried all the time over him, and how hurt she was. Anyway he is now with this wannabe sorority girl for a couple of months now. He claims my daughter is the fault for the break up because she never trusted him, and listened to other people. But what choice did she have when she saw things with her own eyes also. Anyway his friends who have become very close with my daughter have told her that this guy still thinks of her, that he talks about her to them, and says after College is over (he graduates and my daughter) that he wants to get back with her. One of their friends says when he brings up my daughter name this guy gets quiet. One day at an event at his house that my daughter went to with her friends, he walks over to her with a catalog book that was sent to his address that belong to the store, and tells her to look at it. She looks at it and it had Mrs. ( his last name on it) , and smiles at her. My daughter was beginning to believe what those told her was true, that he still wanted her. Now she finds out that the girl he is seeing has stayed the spring break with him at his home. What is this guy doing to my daughter, if you are about to get back with my daughter, why has he made no attempts to let this other girl down easily, instead this will make him and this other girl closer? What should I do this hurts me to see my daughter so hurt? any advice.
4 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoDoes it sound like this guy just used my daughter?
My daughter met a guy college who approach her first, but my daughter wasn't really interested in him. She thought he was nice looking and he is very smart, but was interested in someone else. The guy continued to befriend her, and would walk and talk with her. My daughter says he tried everything to show that he like her. The two became friends and oneday while they were together, he tried to kiss her, she said that she told him not to do that anymore. They continued to be friends while in college, after this guy tried continously to show her he liked her, my daughter soon realized that she was growing to like him too. My daughter who wasn't sexually active, soon became active with this guy over the summer. The guy stayed in the state where the College is, and my daughter who lived in another state came home for the summer. The guy drove hours to come see my daughter, and stay at an hotel, while they spent time for a week together. They talked and text everyday when he returned home. Then before school was to start back up, she stayed about 2 weeks at his house with him. She told me how good he treated her, and they had such a good time together. She told me how he told her that he has fallen in love with her and she told him this also. Anyway School starts and my daughter who's on a Basketball Scholarship at this College, and who is a valuable player on the team and plays post center, and is one the first five to start and has won many awards. Anyway her Coach who is male worn her against this guy, and says that he is no good for her. The Coach also went as far as to tell this guy that he is interfering with his program by dating my daughter. That she will be distracted by him. My daughter new boyfriend was upset by this, and so was my daughter, and was thinking of leaving the team because her Coach wanted her to leave this guy alone. Anyway my daughter changed her mind about leaving the team. Her boyfriend says that she wasn't standing up for their relationship. Shortly after that my daughter started seeing a change in her new boyfriend he was now telling her that they needed a break in the relationship. He says that they weren't broken up but that he had school to worry about, and he also is a Fraternity brother at the school, and had bills, and so he needed to focus. He also told her she needed to do the same thing. When my daughter became upset by this he assured her that they wasn't apart and gave her a bracelet to show that they were committed to each other. Anyway my daughter tried for days to go through with the break, and decided that she was going to ask him did he want to go somewhere just to eat and talk. He told her he didn't have time, and that he was busy. She text him again told him that she was trying to do something nice, and said forget it. She text me very upset saying Mama do you think I was being used, and that our whole relationship was a lie, and that he just trying to let me down easy. She says their being apart doesn't seem to bother him like it does her. What do you think? Do you think this guy is trying to break up with my daughter without officially telling her? I feel so hurt for her. This is her first serious relationship.
1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years agoWhat can I do to help my husband who is shizophranic and chooses to be homeless?
My husband is a Paranoid Schizophranic and he often would get off his medication, and leave to go and stay with his mother in Chicago, who agrees with him that he doesn't need to take his medication, and he could live with her. My husband would leave for about 3 months over the years would return here to Mississippi all tired looking and with his mind very tired from a lack of sleep, and from hearing the voices, and I would have to hospitalize him with the help of his Therapist convincing him or sometimes by force getting the police and court involved. My husband would leave saying that I don't love him because I keep trying to get him to take his medication, and placing him in the hospital. He also states that I even talk to the voices in his head. My husband when he is off his medication can become violent, he would talk to himself, walk constantly throughout the day and night, make false accusations about me and about other people, he would curse and throw things for no reason in the bedroom alone to himself, unplug the tv, and a couple of occasions punched me, and charged at our 21 year old daughter ( I step in and was knock to the floor). When he is on his medication he is the loving man that I know and married, without it I don't know him. My husband had no signs that I was aware of that he was Schizophranic until 11years into our marriage. We been married 24 years. Anyway in February of this year he left again refusing to take his medication, and went to Chicago, this time he scared his mother so bad and also left Chicago saying that everyone was messing with his mind, and moved to Columbia South Carolina, where he doesn't know anyone. He would call to talk to our daughter sometimes and was living in homeless shelters, we now learn that he is living on the streets, sleeping outside. He has money from his social security disability on his card, and I asked him why want he get his own place or a room, since he says he will never get on his medication and want return home. He tells me that he likes living homeless, and can't stand four walls, that he wants everyone to leave him alone. My daughter and I are very concern that someone could hurt him, and his mind is worsier than before, what can we do to get him home to get help, or even get him help in Columbia, South Carolina where he is at? I feel like we are running out of time, because he stated he might go somewhere else where noone can find him?
4 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoWhy Our country the United States will not forgive Boy George for his past drug mistakes?
I grew up LIstening to the 80s group Culture Club when I was in my young teens. I still listen to their music online, and watch their videos on YouTube till this day. They were an Amazing Group and I just Loved the Lead Singer Boy George. Anyway Boy George the lead singer of Culture Club made a very bad mistake when he was here in the USA many years ago. He was on Drugs, and lied about a Burgulary in his apartment, and drugs was found. Boy George was arrested and had to do Community Service. The thing is Boy George is older now, and is currently off drugs, and he and the Group Culture Club decided to get back together. They have written new songs, and wants to perform worldwide, and perform here in the states. A lot of people still love Culture Club music, and would love to see them perform in the States, but unfortunately the USA has refused his Visa, because of his past. Why want our Great Country allow Boy George back in the USA, and forgive him for his past? A person should be given another chance, especially when that person has changed. Is there something that can be done? I really would love to see them (Culture Club) perform in person.
1 AnswerCelebrities9 years agoDo you think it is ok for an older women to go with a younger man?
My husband and I seperated 3 months ago. He wanted to be apart and wanted his own life. For a month and even off and on at times I had moments where I would cry for no reason. Then I decided to pick myself up. I started back wearing my make-up like I use to when I was younger, and bought new clothes, and exericising. Anyway at work this younger guy who is 27 started flirting with me. He would comment on my looks, and say or do things that make my co-workers notice that he had interest in me. He even walk up to me and grab my hands and was trying to hug on me. We all thought of him as a funny guy, and at first I didn't take him seriously until he call my desk, and asked when can we get together. I told him that he is too young for me, and I am 45 years old. He says so and what that suppose to mean. I'm grown like you are grown. I continue to brush him off, and then I saw him hugging another one of my female co-workers, and one of my co-workers says you are going to be in a lot trouble. He looks at me and says I am trying to make her jealous, and smiles at me as everyone looks on. I now find myself feeling attractive to this guy, but I feel that he is younger and if I get with him, he might want someone else younger, and I don't want my heart broken again. I feel like its over between me and my husband because our marriage became so unhappy. Also I have a daughter 21 years old in college, he is closer to her age. What should I do should I ignore this guy or should I take a chance? I'm not looking for a sexual only relationship, I want someone who I can fall in love with and we respect each other. Also I would feel so uncomfortable dating a co-worker. There are so many reasons to avoid this type of relationship, not to mention what would his own parents think? Not to mention he can seem a little childish at time because of his age, he always making everyone laugh.

7 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting10 years agoCould a College be scamming students?
I have a love one who was offered an athletic scholarship. When my love one arrived to the college which is a private school, my love one has been there going on 4 weeks, and financial aide at the college has not received the scholarship. My love one has a pell grant, but it will not be enough to cover everything. My love one has also learned that it does not cover the books. Also no scholarship money has been given, the family is becoming a little worried. My love one also had to sign a master promissorry note and papers that my love one will owe the school. How could this be when there is a grant and a scholarship suppose to be added? I asked the College this and was told it was only formality and a part of the financial package, and nothing more, and when the scholarship is applied the master promissorry note will be non and void. My love one and some of the other athletes are becoming worried and frustrated because they are told they have to buy their own books. This school is expensive and without the scholarship my love one will have to get a loan that we do not want. My love one can not withdraw because you have to drop the classes in 1week to get 90% refund back and two weeks 80% back, after two weeks you get no refund. Should we the family be concern in any way or are we worrying over nothing and should be patient?
2 AnswersFinancial Aid10 years agoDo my daughter have to sign a master promissory note if she is receiving a scholarship?
My daughter was offered a athletic scholarship by a college. I had already completed her FAFSA so she had that grant money, and then she was offered a athletic full scholarship by a coach at this college. Just this past week a letter came in the mail from the college saying thank you for your request for financial assistance, but we will need a Master Promissorry Note-DL not received by you.
I was confused because at the Junior college she attended two years ago, she was offered a scholarship and was not asked for a promissorry note, and also received the FAFSA grant money. From my understanding a Master Promissorry Note is agreeing to pay back a Loan, which we had not apply for one, because of the promise of a full scholarship, and her grant approval? Do I have cause to be concern about this matter or do some colleges ask for a master promissorry note for scholarships now?

4 AnswersCancer10 years agoHow Can I get control over my husband disability check?
My husband many years ago was diagnose with Paranoid Schizophrania and Bipolar. This is a mental disease where he talks to himself, see and say things that are not there, he becomes angry for no reason, accuses people of doing things to him and etc., The problem is when he was diagnose in 1999, and then got his disability, he was taking his medicines like he suppose to and seeing the doctors and therapist regularly. The thing is around 2006 up to now he has been in and out of the mental hospital for getting off his medicines, refusing to take it any longer. He controls his own disability check, and gives me some money out of it for some of the bills. I pay most of the bills myself.
The thing is his mind gets bad when he skips his meds, and he gets on the plane and goes to stay with his mama and family saying he wants his own life, and then returns home. He sets us back financially everytime spending it on plane rides, buying up things and giving his money away which is hurting our family. I talk with his therapist about this, who was surprise that I did not have control over my husband's money. He does this every 3 to 4 months leaving me and our daughter, and while he's gone everything is on me, and I struggle with all the bills. I was told to get control over his check because he is incompetent. How do I do this?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow can I remove spots from a cleaning product my daughter sprayed on the bathroom mirrow?
My daughter recently helped me with the house work, and she was cleaning the bathroom mirrow. I noticed spots on the mirrow, and tried to use vinegar and water to remove them. The spots would not come out. I tried a glass cleaner and the spots still did not come out. I asked her what did she spray on the mirrow, she used a good product called mean green, which I uses on the sinks and tubs.
When I read the bottle it says not to be used on glass. I knew then that my mirrow is probably damaged, but I am hoping that someone has a solution that I can try. I have a big mirrow and it would cause me money to replace it. What can I do to save my mirrow?

4 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoWhat can be done about a Boss who is showing favoritism to other workers?
Our new Boss is showing favoritism towards some of the workers that he laughs or talks with often.
Some of us who have more seniority than these workers have been moved from our spot who were there for years, and these workers have been placed in our spot. He also would tell us certain rules to follow like for example only a 30 minute lunch break, and the ones he jokes and laugh with or who he is attractive to,stay gone for an hour to an hour and 30 minutes without nothing being said. They would be seen sitting in his office laughing and talking, while the rest of us are working. Many of us have complained among ourselves, and this has gotten back to him. He had a meeting with us saying that he does not show favoritism, and he does not have to explain why he put people in certain spots, and was fussing at us like we are children. What can be done to rectify this because it is still going on? I have gotten to the point where I do not like my job anymore, and I cannot leave because finding another job is hard to find these days.
7 AnswersAdministrative and Office Support1 decade agoThe programs on my computer will not open, Do I have a virus?
On Wednesday April 22,2009, I got on my Dell personal computer, and saw that my Mcafee that secures my computer, was not working properly. It showed that my computer was not fully protected. My subscription is current, and isn't up until August 2009. Anyhow I click fix in the Mcafee Security center, and it would not fix the problem. So I went to the Mcafee website to get assistance from one of the Chat Representative, she told me to go to my account, and to download the virus protection that somehow wasn't working at the time. I did this, and the download wouldn't start it says until I uninstall the old Mcafee, so that it could download a new one. I followed what the directions was giving me, and it uninstalled my old one, it took a long time to uninstall. Anyhow It had me click restart to reboot the computer, When the computer restarted I saw no new installation, it did have a E as an icon and show Security center. When I clicked on it, it would not open, the old icon was Red for Mcafee, this one was different It was blue and white, and did not open. I got frustrated and decided to go to the start menu, to system restore to change it back to its original state. My system restore would not open, I then realized a lot of my programs would not open. I realized that most of all my programs were gone, Did I receive a Virus, or what, and how can I get my system restore to work again to remove the virus or this program? I even tried to go to Mcafee website and it will not open my account now, so that I can talk to someone, What is wrong? Need HelP!
4 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoWhy does my laminate flooring keep seperating?
On last year around the early part of 2008, the faucets on the tubs in our new home ( which the contractors had were made out of a hard plastic) cracked and broke. So my husband and I went to the hardware store to buy the metal kind for the two bathrooms. The hardware salesperson told us to bring the part that the faucet are screw on to, to check for the right size. Anyway my husband who is not very handy took out more off the faucets then he should have, and took out the part inside the walls were the faucets go, and to top that he did not turn off the water from the water meter. Anyway water begin to spray heavily everywhere and was on the masterbathroom floors and reached part of the masterbedroom. We turn off the water meter and got up all the water off the floors which are wood laminate throughout the whole house. Then the following day, I noticed that some of the laminate flooring were coming apart in the bathroom, and we would join them back together, and then the masterbedroom floors in some areas where coming apart also. In both the bathroom and the masterbedroom this continued to happen, and each time we join them back together. We figured the padding underneath must be damp and causing the separation. Here it is March of 2009, and we are still noticing the laminate seperating. What is going on with the floors in the bathroom and bedroom, it doesn't seem to be any damage, and the padding is not wet, has the laminate shrunk, and what can I do about this problem? I have Pergo laminate flooring.
