What about the name Cookie?
Hi! :) If you look at my previous question, you can see that I was trying to think about names for my new POA/QH mare. She is a chestnut-ish red roan. She is 3 yr and her momma's name was Smores. I was thinking about the name Cookie. :) She cant be registered, so I was just thinking it would be a fun barn name! She is SO sweet, guys! Im really excited. She will be coming to my house tomorrow!!! SO SIKED! :) Im open to any opinions and even other name suggestions if you have any - Thanks in Advance!
@ Mikayla - That is what my best friend said (The place Im keeping the mare) that she only names her horses after she meets them. :) Im pretty sure I will find out what best suits her tomorrow!
@ Elli ~ The owner is a horse buyer and seller. She has over thirty horses and never named this lil POA when she was born! (Out of a mare she bought at a sale, however at the time no one new she was pregnant,,,) So she never got named. The previous owner just has so many horses coming in and out, she doesn't name all of them,, :) I wouldn't change her name if she already had one. Around here it is also considered bad luck! ;)

Cookie sounds good =) or Sunshine since she is a red roan? Or Sunbeam. Or Ruby (I always liked that name for a horse when I was little). Or...something dessertish like...Cranberry? Or Raspberry. Or Lillian (random lol). But congradulations!! I want a horse.

Cookie? Personally I don't like it at all, but the rest of the community seems to warm to it, so what the heck =)
That said ... does she not already have a name? Where I come from, we say it's bad luck to change a horse's name.

I love the name "Cookie" for mares. I think it suits them, but it actually depends on what color the mare is. I like the name "Cookie" for white and black tobianos and chestnuts. ;)
