Should I be worried about long-term damage to my health concerning pesticide and termite exposure?

My landlord informed me earlier this week that they would be spraying for bugs while I was at work. That night I noticed a little odor, but only in the kitchen around the stove. That night and the next, I slept with the air conditioning on and my windows closed (I live in Florida). The next two mornings, I was disgusted to find strings of dried saliva in my mouth, which I had to physically pull out and throw away. I didn't feel sick in any other way, but I did feel a little dizzy at work. I wasn't particularly alarmed by this, because I have felt dizzy from medications, ear infections, etc... before. But, I tried to figure out why I had saliva like that two mornings in a row, because I had never had this happen before. It was the third night (last night) when I connected the bug spraying to the symptoms. I slept with my windows open and had no symptoms this morning.

But, tonight I found an insect crawling under my couch cushion which prompted me to do research. Remembering a swarm of bugs in my kitchen that were shedding their wings and were dead or dying just before they sprayed, and with the saved insect from my couch (still alive), I figured out that they were termites.

I have read that termites are not specifically associated with adverse health effects, but I'm still concerned when I'm finding them crawling under the cushion where I am sitting. Also, what about the bug spraying incident? Should I be concerned about any long-term health effects of the exposure to the insecticides, or further exposure from pesticide still present? Thanks.

No competent termite technician would be spraying stuff around your kitchen to control them. They may have done that for ants or cockroaches or something, but not for termites.

You should contact the landlord or the company and ask what chemicals were applied where and for what.

Chances are you are safe already and any symptoms should be diminishing. If not, consult a doctor.

Overspray can sometimes be cleaned up with paper towel and a mix of soapy water, a little bleach and some methylated spirit but you should find out exactly what was put down first.

ok.. So. Termites... Have way extra suitable than a while-honored 2 sexes. Lesse..We have been given: workers: Blind, necessary to maintain the nutrients cycle shifting. perhaps 500 of em. infantrymen: we are able to possibly bypass solders, for the reason that god is watching out for us for the subsequent 40 days. additionally we are able to bypass Alates and therefor de-alates, they gained't be necessary until the entire Ararat ingredient is going down. So for reproductives we want Queen King some Neotenics to go the eggs around and show screen the Queen's pheromone levels. So provided that Noah had his entomology collectively and controlled to get a functioning termite colony on board. you acquire one thousand eggs an afternoon, 40 days. call it an straight forward of 15 thousand termites working the entire run... a typical colony (approximately 60k persons) will consume in user-friendly terms a pair of 5th of an oz. of timber in an afternoon. So doing the mathematics, the entire termite colony will easily in user-friendly terms consume approximately 2 oz. of timber over the entire holiday. So what's that? slightly nick interior the floorboards.. yet. We have been given 2600 (supply or take) nicely-known species of termite.. Sooo. easily.. curiously This one does artwork out. you could desire to maintain a minimum reproductive colony of all the nicely-known species of termites interior the international happening a boat for 40 days... fee you approximately 3 hundred kilos of timber chips... extraordinary. you could desire to easily do it. Huh.. wadatyaknow... Oh.. Whoops. 7 months on the boat.. ok... you like 3 and a a million/2 a lot of timber to do the entire termite ingredient.. Yeah.. that's a reasonably nasty ding interior the woodwork.
