The current form of Covid-19 will never subside. Too many political experts know more than trained professionals in the sciences, and will not vaccinate.

It's not going to end on a specific date but rather slowly subside (go away) over a long time. How long of a time is anybody's guess. Could be years, could be decades. Widespread vaccination will be a big help though.
