HP Recovery disk not working?

OK, so I lost my partition (recovery & Windows) to Linux when I messed up the installation, and my friend from HP sent me some recovery disk. I boot them, but it immediately says "Please insert Supplemental Recovery Disk" so I insert it, and it spits it out and says "This is not the Supplemental Recovery Disk" Can someone tell me what's going on?

Update:

I do own the supplemental recovery disk, it's labeled " Supplemental Recovery Disk"
