Change Yahoo Answers email?
I'm having major difficulties changing my yahoo answers email.
I had my school acccount (umbc.edu) receiving the yahoo answers email, but I would like to remove that account completely.
I sign into yahoo answers via my yahoo.com email, but for some reason I can't get my yahoo answers email to come to the yahoo.com email address.
On my main page, I see my *.umbc.edu, but when I go to edit my preferences, the only emails I see are my yahoo.com and verizon.net emails. Under edit my preferences, I go to "manage emails" and still only see yahoo.com and verizon.net emails, nowhere else outside of the main page, do you I see my umbc.edu email.
How can I remove the umbc email and change my yahoo answers to my yahoo or verizon email.

Go to your yahoo answers profile go to edit my preferences from there you should be able to change your yahoo answers email

You can't TRANSFER a Yahoo Answers account to a new email. You can add other email addresses and use them to receive YA email. But the account is still linked to the base email account.
Since you are still relatively low level and few points, the best option would be to simply 'close down' this current account, making it totally private. Then abandon it. Open a new account with whatever email account you want it linked to. Just be absolutely certain that the 2 accounts never interact (like voting for each other, giving thumbs up, etc.) so that you don't violate the rules and lose both accounts.

It’s impossible to alter the thought digital mail account to which your solutions account is registered. So in case you cancel that digital mail account, I worry you stand to lose your solutions account and you will would desire to start over. yet particularly there is not any would desire to cancel your cutting-edge digital mail account ... merely use the hot one for all your different company and save the previous one for solutions.

just make a new account and when you ask a question sign into the NEW account. its easy and not complicated that way!
