It is possible to buy an adaptor in the UK to convert UK telephones to fit US sockets.

    Try Maplin.

The handset may not meet US FCC regulations.

If it is a cordless 'phone forget it. They use different frequencies there and they will not work because of the difference in mains voltages. It might be possible to buy a mains adaptor there, but you would need one with the correct voltage, amperage and one designed for constant usage (plugged in all the time) and it isn't worth it.

You can buy an adapter to fit your telephone to an American outlet but a British cordless phone may not pick up on American radio frequencies. You have to check the voltage also,I cant say for certain but I think the standards are different.

the telephone part will connect. however, if the phone requires electricity you will need to get a power transformer.
