What type of information is not typically contained within a balanced chemical equation?

    the numbers that you use to put in front of the different reactants and products to balance the equation are used as mol ratios.

    all the products and reactants need to be in the equation to be extremely accurate

    all the states of each element or compound,etc need to be in there (ex: solid,liquid,gas, aqueous solution)

    In most basic equations, the temperature (or exchange of energy) is not marked, unless it is an important point (or unless you are specifically trying to determine if a series of reactions is endothermic or exothermic).

    For example, we often see only:

    2H2 + O2 = 2H2O

    What we do not see, in this equation, if this:

    If you put two moles of hydrogen in a canister, with a mole of oxygen, then all you get in the end (even if you shake the canister) is 2 moles of hydrogen mixed with a mole of oxygen. The reaction needs a trigger (a simple spark is sufficient).
