could over use of high cpu usage programs ruin your hard drive?
could a program that uses a lot of your cpu's resources ruin your hard drive. like me personally, i really like to virus scan a lot, especially after visiting foreign websites (like for school research or computer help), could running a lot (6+ a day easily) "wear out" your hard drive, or what ever? thank you.

No, it doesnt "wear out" because compenents will all eventually wear out through use, but excessive use will only ruin your performance.
But 6 times a day? Why do you do such a thing? You only need to do it around once every two days AT the most. If you just keep doing virus scans over and over again its just a waste of time. Because Viruses can pop up from days to months after you've been infected.
It took me almost 8 months before the powerful worm malware permanently damaged my old computer. it would go away after i removed it but came back, and than stopped for a long time. Then hit me with a powerful blow aandd done.
