Will there be a new iTouch soon?

My 5th generation iPod Video recently died and now I'm looking into getting an iPod Touch. The latest one was released in September of 2010 from what I'm reading but I was wondering if there would be another version out soon that I should wait for or if I should go ahead and get one now?

Thanks!

Apple releases most iPods by September, nobody knows what will be the new features yet, sometimes they don't offer significant upgrades if any.

Many new iPods have been fiascos, the Shuffle 4G was a piece of junk without controls other than the ear buds cable, the Nano 6G is nothing but a Shuffle with touch screen and the only difference between a Touch 2G and a 3G is a slight faster processor.

Source(s): Have owned many iPods, now I have Shuffles 2G, 3G and Touches 3G and 4G.

no person is familiar with. September is usual, yet there is no longer something usual approximately what's been happening at present (a meant prototype confirmed up on eBay this weekend). If Apple has the hot iPod touch waiting faster they had be silly to postpone the launch - and in accordance to their modern income . . . they ain't silly.

they seem to be released in the fall - probably because of back-to-school season (and also to get a jump on the holiday season).

Depending on what cellphone you have (or may get before then) and what you really want the iPod Touch for, you be able to get by without one.

If soon is September 2011, then no you shouldn't. Otherwise, get one now.
