I had a pitbull for 15 years.
Here is what I learned.
A/ ALWAYS remember that your bullies have a stronger jaw than all other dogs. There are no "mistakes".
B/ If you use a public dog walking area- use a muzzle.
C/ License them.
D/ Do NOT ever forget that they are loving but also machines by nature. Do not leave them alone with children. Do not encourage rough play.
Source(s): My Murphy was a sweetheart but I remembered these things and never had an issue. We have a really lovely rescue bully next door now. She's a sweetie. I know what you mean about the breed- people have really messed that up, haven't they? I feel if you know the breed you don't need the training program- someone is trying to make money.
