what have you stolen from a hotel (apart from soaps)...

    Towels

    Dressing gowns

    Vases

    Small pictures

    Pillows

    Sheets

    Coat hangers

    Kettles

    Cups

    Plates

    Cutlery

    I've personally taken soap and shampoo, although I don't know whether or not it would really be considered "stealing" as usually many hotels do provide complimentary soaps. But if something else is found to be missing then guests are charged for it into their credit card.
