If drilling oil in the US brings prices down, why isn't gasoline cheaper in Alaska?
Flint Hills Resources’ North Pole Refinery near Fairbanks has a crude oil processing capacity of about 220,000 barrels per day. It processes North Slope crude oil and supplies gasoline, jet fuel, heating oil, diesel, gasoil and asphalt to Alaska markets.

It's just right wing propaganda - drilling here isn't going to produce anymore oil nor will it bring down prices. But the BIG OIL boys want you to think that.
What we really truly need to do is concentrate on figuring out a way NOT to use oil.... for real this time - no republican screwing it up.

Oh good grief.
Yes Matthew there is.
Drilling MORE ANYWHERE but especially here gives the market an indication of what the supply might be in the FUTURE and thus the market starts to lower the expectation of higher price and the sell-off starts.
You don't buy oil at $120 a barrel NOW if you think it will be $70 in the future do you?
Good heavens, do liberals not have even the BASIC understanding of reality in the marketplace?

I know you're a liberal but even YOU can't be this dumb. What refinery is there in AK? None.
Oil flows through the pipeline to ships that take it to refineries. Alaskans buy the same gas you do.
OMG are you stupid!!!!!
