i have a craftsman gt6000 riding mower lately when iturn the pto on the deck starts vibrating like crazy it lo?

looks like its hopping has anyone had one do this the blades are balanced could a belt cause that

my blades are not star type it just a round 3/8 hole

    sounds like the spindel bearings bad. (spindel will have pully on top blades bolt on bottom under deck ) check to see if you can wiggle blade.

    With mower off, reach under and try and move blades up and down. If the blade has ANY play in it the (i dont know the correct name) but the spindle hub that blade attached to is probably broken. Or you spindle assembly has a bad bearing. Again see if the blade has movement. By the way if it does, you might as well take the deck off and asset it that way. It will make life simpler to pinpoint the problem. Also if you find that it the spindle bearing that is bad they can be replaced.

    Wouldn't be a belt. I would guess that you don't have the blades on correctly or one is bent. That machine uses a star type adapter and it is not always easy to get the blade on the star. I would remove the blades, clean the star adapters and try again. The blade has to fit onto the star or it will be crooked.
