Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz is scheduled on Box rec. Any Thoughts Boxing Fans ?

Thanks for the info, I think this is a great comeback fight for Mayweather specially that Ortiz is coming of a great win over Andre Berto. I think Ortiz can give Mayweather a tough time in this fight but Floyd takes it by UD.

Boxrec had Mayweather fighting Pacquiao this time last year, and we all know how that ended.

I will believe it when I see it.

As for now, the only fight I see happening involving Mayweather is against Paul Spadafora, if I remember correctly.

If this is true, Ortiz will give Mayweather trouble at first, but then adjust and pepper Ortiz with his quick shots while avoiding his rushes, and wins a wide UD.

Ortiz ain't on that level. Now before you go off and say Ortiz is the champ, remember that Floyd don't really care about belts I thought. Ortiz is alright but nothing to get excited about, I don;t give him much of a chance, therefore it ain't a really good fight.

That for me would be typical Floyd, I dont mean to knock Ortiz but he aint on Floyds level. Floyd fighting at welter against a guy that has had one fight at welter typifies the fact he aint willing to face the best at their own weight in their prime.

Fight Pacquaio or stay retired. Dont go getting Tim Bradley to come up a division to where he is not ranked and beat him. Come one Floyd, you can beat these guys anyway. If Floyd is to fight Bradley make it at 140lbs,if he is fighting at welter make it against Pacquiao. You told us you are the greatest boxer ever,prove it, fight a champion of a weight division in that weight division.Its not too much to ask is it?

I think it'll be a good tune up fight for Floyd. Ortiz makes too many mistakes though and Floyd should be able to capitlize and potshot his way to a clear UD.

Boxrec has a reputation for putting fights that have yet to be finalized. I wouldn't be surprised if it came to fruition, but Boxrec also has Khan vs. Bradley for July and it DID have Money vs. Pac in March of 2010. Boxrec isn't official and there hasn't been confirmation, so to me, it's all hearsay.

I am happy to see floyd Mayweather coming back.

Now we will see if my theory was right after everyone was bashing me about that other question i asked about Tim Bradley turning down 1.3 million for a chance to make at least 5 million fighting Mayweather.

Now i bet Tim Bradley will sign the contract to fight Amir Khan since Floyd Mayweather found a different opponent than him.
