Would Money still consider Canelo "undefeated" since he considered Cotto "undefeated" because he lost to a cheater and he lost at a catchweight?

Does a fighter have the right to dictate WHERE his opponent trains? IF the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight falls apart due to the fact that Mayweather demands Pacquiao ONLY train in the US, then WHO would you place the blame for the fight not happening THEN?

NOW, when Team Pacquiao agree to unlimited blood and urine testing, but propose another organization, Team Mayweather is demanding its done by USADA.

1) Why are they setting another road block when it didn't exist before?

2) Is it fair to demand Pacquiao to ONLY train in the US, as would have to be done if conducted by USADA?

3) Is this another indication, YET AGAIN, that this fight would never happen?

4) Which party should be held responsible if the fight doesn't happen because they can't agree on an agency?

A fighter like Pacquiao, who's also a come forward fighter himself who'll take shots to get shots in, thus putting himself in just as much danger as his opponent? Or a fighter like Mayweather who's a master counter puncher, has tremendous ring IQ and uses his opponents own agressiveness against him?

IMO, a fighter who does nothing but pressure and throw punches while going forward is tailor made for the master counter puncher. What do you think?

Note: This is not a question of whether boxing needs more effective drug testing in place, this is a question of whether its fair to single out an athlete and demand additional testing above and beyond standard protocol.

to blood testing on his Twitter...He writes "Good news: Arum agrees to blood testing". This is great news, because to me, the one "supposed" major hurdle in making this fight happen was blood testing. Now that it's been agreed to, are there any other hurdles that can stop this fight from happening? Does this indicate that negotiations have ALREADY begun for the Pacquiao Mayweather fight? If the fight doesn't happen after the Marquez, Ortiz fight, who would you hold responsible?

I thought it was an horrible performance by Haye...after all the trash talk, he barely throws any punches. He should be nominated for an Academy award for all the acting during the falling he did. Is there anyone that's still a David Haye fan?

doesn't happen in the spring of 2012, then it will NEVER happen? I happen to think the perfect storm is brewing and am getting excited at the possibility of the chips falling into place for Pacquiao and Mayweather to happen in early 2012. Every thing seems to be on course for it to happen. However, if it doesn't, then I've lost all and absolute hope of it EVER happening. What do you think? Is it May 2012 or never?

be happy that the two best fighters in this generation will be back in the ring in the Fall? Pacquiao is facing Marquez, who gave him hell in two fights and is coming of a string of huge victories and regardless of weight or the weight limit, they'll both be the same weight come fight night so it should be a non-issue.

Money is facing Ortiz who is the next highest ranked welterweight after Pacquiao...and regardless if he's ready, or seasoned, or whatever your opinion is, he's the next best option for Money if Money isn't fighting Pac.

I for one am excited for both fights this fall...shouldn't most boxing fans be as well? Instead of criticizing their choice of opponents, shouldn't we just appreciate the fact that they'll both be in the ring in the Fall against quality opposition and maybe, just maybe it might lead to a superfight in the spring of 2012?

"birther" theories against Obama?

Obama submitted all the REQUIRED forms and documentation to prove he was born in the United States. Because he's a different color than all the other Presidents we've had, his critics formulated a theory that he was born in another country, with absolutely no proof. The sentiment grew with member of the public on the side of the critics. They demanded that he make his full birth certificate available to the public. He finally does to shut everyone up. All in all, his critics made a baseless accusation and demanded he prove his innocence although he's done everything that was required of everyone else.

Manny Pacquiao has passed every single drug test the state athletic commissions have required him to take. Because he's had success moving up in weight classes, his critics (the Mayweather clan) made accusations that he was cheating by using PED's. The accusations and sentiments grew with Mayweather fans. They demand that he subject himself to testing above and beyond required of every other boxer. After a bunch of back and forth, Pacquiao finally agrees to stricter testing. All in all, his critics made a baseless accusation and demanded he prove his innocence although he's done everything that was required of everyone else.

Do you think these "birther" accusations and PED's accusations are similar and parrallel? Do you think Obama should have had to prove he was born in this country by releasing his FULL birth certificate going above and beyond what was required? Do you think that Pacquiao should have to agree to random blood testing and go above and beyond what is required to prove his innocence?

wasted? I mean, for a guy who's in the Top 5 P4P, he has no upcoming fight scheduled. His last fight was more than 3 months ago! Is his prime (and his window for his biggest earning potential and superstar status) being squandered away? Who would you blame for this? Who would you like to see him in the ring with next?

boxing with lateral movement, and running away? People are saying that Pac was frustrated with Shane "boxing"? I thought Shane was running away and avoiding exchanges. Boxing, lateral movement and ring generalship entails (to me) changing your position to favor you in exchanges, and taking advantage of your opponents aggression with counterpunching (a la Money Mayweather). Running away and avoiding exchanges is backpedaling and when your opponent attacks, you get out of striking distance some more without counterpunching or intent to do damage, solely with the intent of being out of position so your opponent can't hurt you (a la ODLH against Trinidad, Cotto and Mosley against Pac). Mosley only throw 300 punches against Pac, now is that really "effective boxing" or is that avoiding exchanges? When Pac was getting frustrated, was he frustrated that he was being countered all night by a guy who was masterfully boxing? Or was he frustrated that his opponent had absolutely no intent to fight?

fighter that hasn't improved since his fight against Marquez beat Mosley worse than Money Mayweather? Pac beat Mosley 120-107, 120-108, 119-108 (and that includes the bogus knockdown Bayless ruled wrong) in the fight and Money beat Mosley (119-109, 119-109, 118-110). I don't recall Pacquiao holding on for dear life, and I don't recall Mosley ever being hurt against Money, so if Pacquiao, a "one dimensional fighter who hasn't improved since Marquez" beat Mosley worse than Money did, then what does that say about Money?

Don't get me wrong, the fight was crap, but, let's not be too quick to say Pac is one dimensional, because frankly, how does a one dimensional fighter beat Mosley worse than Floyd "Money" Mayweather?

Everyone complains that if Marquez fought at Welterweight, Pacquiao would have all the advantages, but that's not true, because essentially, they'd weigh the same come fight night because Pacquiao has never weighed in at the welterweight limit AND he doesn't gain much weight come fight night. The fight could at 160lbs and they'd be the same size. Marquez was around 144-145 come fight night against Katsidis. Pacquiao was 147-148 against Margarito.

Does anyone else feel the weight limit isn't a factor if Pacquiao and Marquez fight?

Marquez gets blown out of the water, IMO. I would say, he gets stopped by the middle rounds. He's definitely "deserving" of the fight, but I don't see it as being competitive...thoughts?

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao if they weren't the cash cows of boxing? Do you think guys like Timothy Bradley, Paul Williams, Amir Khan, and Andre Berto would still call out Pacquiao and Mayweather if Pac and Money brought no money to the table? I think Pac and Money would be the most avoided guys if they brought no money to the table... don't you? Let's be honest, no one...no one at 140 or 147 can really compete with these two guys...so who would really be calling out for a beating if it meant not getting the biggest payday of their life?
