If Mayweather beats Canelo...?

Would Money still consider Canelo "undefeated" since he considered Cotto "undefeated" because he lost to a cheater and he lost at a catchweight?

Update 2:

Wrong. Do you think if Alvarez had a choice, he'd PREFER to fight at 152lbs rather than 154lbs? Come on dude.

No, he will not be still labeled an undefeated fighter somebody's 0 has

got to go. Saul Alvarez will not defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr. And I also,

agree with your points Mayweather defeated both Oscar De La Hoya &

Miguel Cotto at the Junior Middleweight limit of 154. This fight should of

been contested at that weight I have no idea why the fight will be fought

at 152 so, when he loses he can use that excuse that he was drained I

think he's a very good fighter but, Alvarez isn't in Mayweather's class he

is going to get a boxing lesson just like Sergio Gabriel Martinez did with

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. just wait and see and then, it's off more lucrative

bouts for Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2014 hopefully, Floyd will get Pacquiao.

I doubt he will ,but he will still consider Canelo a champion like he did Ricky Hatton.

First ,Floyd Mayweather considered Miguel Cotto undefeated before he fought him in order to make the fight more intriguing.

Mayweather also said Cottos' loss to Manny Pacquiao was because Miguel Cotto was weight drained trying to make the negotiated weight of 147 which was welterweight when Cotto could no longer comfortably make the weight.

Im sure Canelo Alverez wouldn't mind fighting at 154 but it's only 2 pounds ,if Canelo was a tall lean light welterweight then the 2 pounds might mean a little ,but it's still not very much.

Floyd Mayweather is the bigger name of the two so he got hit way and it will also be the biggest payday and the biggest fight of Canelos' career so you really can't blame him.

The difference between Pacquiao and Mayweather is that Pacquiao demanded the catchweight. Mayweather demanded nothing. It was Alvarez who wanted and suggested the catchweight. In fact he suggested a lower catchweight than 152 lbs.

Right actually. It was Alvarez who wanted the catchweight of 150 lbs. Floyd pushed it up for him to 152lbs. Personally, I don't see the point of the catchweight period but it was Alvarez and his team who brought the catchweight to the table.
