Because thats just their thing, maybe they think wearing regular clothes is just boring an uninteresting. Some musicians went out of their way to wear "interesting" outfits for more artistic reasons, like David Bowie, while others just for the sheer over-the-topness and to stand out, like Motley Crue. Either way, I think it's cool sometimes.
