How likely is it that a bi will enjoy the same sex experience enough to go totally gay/lesbian?

I've known some people who appeared to start out in life as straight, with spouse and children, and in middle age began having same sex relationships, and ultimately ended up living exclusively gay /lesbian lives.

How likely is it for bi sexual people to remain bi over the long term?

i don't think this happens, i think if a bisexual person was to get in a relationship with someone of the same gender then they may think they are gay or lesbian because they love their partner and don't want anyone else, however if their relationship was to go wrong then they would be open to dating both genders again.

It might be because they were gay all along but didnt realise it till the had same sex relationships, it opened their eyes and now they want to stay that way (:

Obviously, if you seek a fulfilling relationship with one person, then you will eventually have to choose. Also, just because someone is bi, doesn't mean they are going to continue to act on their attractions.

I think that bisexual people eventually make a choice between the two.
