Would you be offended if I told you Zeus doesn't exist?

Zeus is fictious construct of an ancient civilization used to explain the unanswerable questions of life in that time.

    Depends. :) If you're a Christian telling me my gods don't exist while insisting yours is the only one that does exist, then yes, I'm offended and annoyed by your overwhelming arrogance. LOL There's no proof for any deity, let alone that there's any such thing as "one true god" or "one true religion."

    The idea that the ancient gods were "made up" to explain the unanswerable, particularly weather and other natural phenomena, is a gross oversimplifying of the gods. The gods are not their myths; the myths are symbolic stories meant to explain spiritual concepts. Zeus is not the personification of lightning. Read up more on ancient Greek religion and less on mythology to understand how the gods were (and are) seen among their followers.

    No. Of course Zeus doesn't exist. He's just a fictional character. Haruhi Suzumiya is the one true god.

    WRONG!

    Zeus does exist! He had a religious text to prove all the great deeds he did. Plus, how do you explain your morality if Pandora's Box wasn't opened?

    No not offended and Zeus is a dead God, supposedly reclined as a mountain.

    Not at all. Other historical writings during the time of Zues acknowledge it was mythological. No historians during that time claim they were real.

    Of course, many hundred years later, people like to think they were real.

    Nah, I wouldn't be offended at all.

    In fact, the early Christians of the first century KNEW that Zeus didn't exist also and they tried to help worshipers of Zeus and other FALSE gods to understand the Truth in regards to the One, True Living Almighty God whose personal name is JEHOVAH / YAHWEH (http://bit.ly/jzAYmD , http://bit.ly/h1budC , http://bit.ly/fyssug ).

    Acts 14:8-13 (New Living Translation):

    "While they were at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas came upon a man with crippled feet. He had been that way from birth, so he had never walked. He was sitting and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. So Paul called to him in a loud voice, “Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.

    When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in their local dialect, “These men are gods in human form!” They decided that Barnabas was the Greek god ZEUS and that Paul was Hermes, since he was the chief speaker. Now the temple of ZEUS was located just outside the town. So the priest of the temple and the crowd brought bulls and wreaths of flowers to the town gates, and they prepared to offer sacrifices to the apostles."

    Whereas Zeus most definitely didn't and doesn't exist, the One who SENT Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is REAL / TRUE and most certainly exists... and I quote:

    "Jesus therefore cried in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me, and know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, BUT HE THAT SENT ME IS TRUE, whom ye know not.

    I know him; BECAUSE I AM FROM HIM, AND HE SENT ME."

    Exactly WHO was the One that SENT the Messiah (Jesus Christ)?

    The prophecy concerning him in Isaiah 61:1-3 answers it beyond the shadow of any doubt... and I quote:

    "The Spirit of the Lord JEHOVAH is upon ME; because JEHOVAH hath ANOINTED ME TO PREACH good tidings unto the meek; HE HATH SENT ME to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

    to proclaim the year of JEHOVAH'S favor, and the day of vengeance OF OUR GOD; to comfort all that mourn;

    to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of JEHOVAH, that he may be glorified."

    ~ Isaiah 61:1-3 (American Standard Version)

    Luke 4:16-21 (New World Translation):

    "And he came to Naz′a·reth, where he had been reared; and, according to his custom on the sabbath day, he entered into the synagogue, and he stood up to read. So the scroll of the prophet ISAIAH was handed him, and he opened the scroll and found the place where it was written: “JEHOVAH'S spirit is upon me, because HE ANOINTED ME to declare good news to the poor, HE SENT ME FORTH TO PREACH a release to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away with a release, to preach JEHOVAH'S acceptable year.” With that he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were intently fixed upon him. 21 Then he started to say to them: “Today this scripture that YOU just heard is fulfilled.” "
