If Macey is a nickname, then what can be her actual first name? (that has macey or something like it in it)?

Got me. I can't think of any name with Mace or Macey in it other than Macey itself. That said, people frequently give their children nicknames which have nothing at all to do with their real names. The nickname is usually picked either because the parents like it or because the child has a characteristic which suggests the name. A neighbor had a child named "Margaret Rose" but called her "Kelly" simply because she liked the name. A child may also be called "Butch" or "Sissy" or a host of other nicknames which are not based on birth names. Many also are called by an abbreviation of their last names. "Mac" for MacDonald, for instance.

I can only think of Macedonia. I don't even recall what that is exactly. I think it's either a ancient country, region, or town. I don't advocate naming your child Macedonia.
Macey is a very lovely name. I'll edit if I think of something.
