Difficult Factorisation Question???? Pls Help....?

Factorise -xy + 8xy - 3x + 5x/10

Plaese Help... I don't understand.....

    First, add up the like terms.

    xy(-1 + 8) + x(-3 + 5/10)

    7xy - 25x/10

    Then see what's similar in the result, and take those outside a bracket, and divide what's left to get what's inside the bracket.

    x(7y - 25/10)

    and you are done.

    -xy + 8xy - 3x + 5x/10

    x (-y + 8y - 3 + 5/10)

    x (7y - 2 1/2)
