NRL: After the Test and City v Country, pick your Blues side?
The City v Country demonstrated to me a few things. Firstly, just how dangerous Jennings looks when he gets decent service. Pearce has a sensational passing game when he gets decent dummy half service. Mullen has an excellent boot, but needs wingers who can catch. Soward can still play in mixed company. TLL actually wants to play. Simon Dwyer is going to be huge in a few years. Minichiello still has it after all these years. Tolman's stats are deceptive, he's a workhorse like Luke Douglas, but I'm not sure if he's the type of front rower for Origin. The media wants anyone for NSW hooker but Robbie Farah.
Based on the performances in the Test and City v Country matches, what does your Blues lineup look like?

Based on the players who were on show in both games last night-
1. Josh Dugan - So hard to split him and Hayne, both amazing, creative attackers and match winners
2. Jarryd Hayne - Can't leave him out and Morris simply doesn't do anything anymore
3. Michael Jennings - Been in terrible form this year but what a turn around last night, top game
4. Jamal Idris - Very solid in attack like usual and thought his defence was very good
5. Akuila Uate - What more does he have to do? Metre eater, tackle breaker, prolific try scorer
6. Jarrod Mullen - Superb kicking game, takes the line on and very solid in defence
7. Mitchell Pearce - Superb passing game and also a solid defender, if Soward is out this will be the pair no doubt
8. Aiden Tolman - I agree with you but still, one of the hardest working players and thats what NSW need
9. Robbie Farah - No Ennis, Hinchcliffe was great but not worth considering for Origin
10. Tim Mannah - He is the future for NSW, hard runner and tough as nails
11. Ben Creagh - Thought he had a terrific game for Aus, most definitely deserves a Blue jumper
12. Chris Houston - He was the clear stand out in a bunch of under performing backrowers
13. Paul Gallen - No need for an explaination
14. Michael Gordon - Couldn't leave him out, always trying hard and always a threat plus a top goal kicker
15. Simon Dwyer - Outstanding, always looked dangerous. He's not too far away from big things
16. Keith Galloway/Tom Learoyd-Lahrs - Both really stood up and played well, couldn't split them
17. Kade Snowden - Solid debut for Australia, did a few things wrong but still one of the best for NSW

1. J Dugan
2. B Morris
3. M Gasnier (c)
4. J Idris
5. Uate
6. J Soward
7. M Pearce
8. K Snowden
9. D Young
10. T Learoyd-Lahrs
11. G Bird
12. B Creagh
13. P Gallen
14. M Gordon
15. C Houston
16. C Heighington
17. B Scott
At Bobo, you obviously don't know much about Rugby League.
How do you have a team without even one player from the comps leading team.
Also Creagh can't have 'proven he is a liability time and time again', as he has only played two games for NSW.

1. Hayne ( Dugan is a long way off of SOO and Hayne has been the Blues best for last 3 years )
2. Gordon ( Good speed and great goal kicker )
3. Jennings ( fast and would form a good partnership with Gordon )
4. Idris ( Big and strong )
5. Uate ( Fast and skillful )
6. Carney if fit and playing good footy by SOO time ( If not then Mullen )
7. Pearce ( Our best option at 7 )
8. Mannah ( Form prop and goes hard )
9. Farrah ( If they pick grub Ennis i will go for QLD! )
10. Tolman ( 2nd best prop in the Blues camp )
11. Hindmarsh ( tackling machine with a lot of heart and that is something the Blues need )
12. Gallen ( Needed for his agro )
13. Bird ( same reason as Gallen )
14. Snowden ( Good prop )
15. Learoyd Lahrs ( Big strong runner )
16. Galloway ( strong and deserves a shot )
17. Lewis ( best utility Blues have )
Would not let Creagh anywhere near the team. Time and time again he has proven he is a liability at SOO level.

1. Hayne (despite lack of form, always seems to be one of our best during origin and is still better than dugan IMO)
2. Gordon (has been in outstanding form this year and is an exceptional GK)
3. Gasnier (Beginning to show his class and is ahead of his rivals)
4. J Idris (Always a handful and will bring some brute strength to our team)
5. Uate (should have been there last year but ruled out cause of playing for Fiji)
6. Soward (Great kicking game, great playmaker, defence has improved greatly. Defence shouldn't rule this champion out of an origin debut. Also is a top GK. if unfit then Mullen)
7. Pearce ( really stepped up in city v country and has all but cemented his spot in the team.
8. Tolman - (Form prop of the competition IMO. Stats would back me up)
9. Ennis - (Gets ahead of Farah and Young as he's been firing the whole season however Farah was pretty good for city and both players can be amazing on their day)
10. Mannah (High work rate and has been one of Parra's best.)
11.Lewis - ( Versatile, powerful, fast, has proved he'll be one of the first picked if available)
12. Creagh - (Though amazing for the dragons, is yet to really show his class in origin but hopefully this will be his year)
13. Gallen (C) - (Amazing work rate, 150m a game + 30 odd tackles. Inspiring leader)
14. Gidley - can play many positions. eg - fullback, centres, five eigth, halfback, lock
15. Snowden - Been there before and is in good form so far this season
16. Bird - Been playing some good footy of late. Will be able to add that extra spark.
17. Learoyd - Larhs - average form for raiders but played well for country.
We really do have some young players coming through atm which is really exciting from a NSW point of view. I'm not saying that the team I chose is the best possible, but if Ricky and Fulton are able to pick a core group of players and try to build the side around those players for the next 5 years, I can honestly see us begin to start competing with QLD again. But once ricky picks players in key positions (1,6,7,9) he needs to stick with those players for the whole series and perhaps the next couple of series and that's why this first game to so crucial to our campaigns in 2011 and beyond. That is exactly what QLD have been doing and unfortunately for the last 5 years we have shown absolutely no faith to players in crucial positions... I really hope that we have finally learnt..

Sorry to do this on ur question but if you were part of the lil sidebet thing some of us had goin on with the ANZAZ test, you'd know all bout my pro pic and name bet with knighty. I shall apologise agen as I was too busy actually playin rugby on the weekend to change my details earlier but I will however keep this as my pic for a week as agreed upon knighty. By the way, I wouldn't take too much away from that test as it's still early in the season and the form of some of our players is nowhere near what it will be towards the end of the season. The good news is, NSW will dominate those QLDer's if that was a preview into how they'll perform.
My NSW lineup.
1. Hayne
2. Uate
3. Gasnier
4. Idris
5. Uate
6. Soward
7. Pearce
8. Tolman
9. Farah
10. Snowden
11. Bird
12. Creagh
13. Gallen
14. Gordon
15. Merrin
16. Mannah
17. Douglas
Edit: Yeah was gonna put Watmough in but he won't get picked for rep teams because of his behaviour or some bullsh!t like they said a few weeks ago unless of course he plays like he did last week, which he is capable of doing.

I LOVE Knights 11's team. It's got the strike power a NSW Origin team needs. Stuff this whole "lets play defense for 80 minutes" approach, we need to attack. I'm personally not a Ben Creagh fan, but I will admit he is a good player, so he can get a spot. Galloway over TTL. Any room for Bird, or maybe Douglas? Possibly Bird at 14 instead of Flash (that hurt to say because I am a huge Flash fan). Maybe keep Flash, and put Bird in for Dwyer. Or maybe just not include Bird at all lol.
But yeah, we gotta start attacking, and we definately have the players to do it.

6. Jamie Soward - St George Illawarra
7. Mitchel Pearce - Sydney
13. Greg Bird - Gold Coast
12. Beau Scott - St George Illawarra
11. Paul Gallen - Cronulla
10. Michael Weyman - St George Illawarra

QLD would love to have him.

1. Dugan - He's a freakish talent and a must pick if we are to start building a team with some youth
2. Uate - A pure athlete. If he's not scoring tries, he's making as many metres up the middle then our forwards.
3. Gasnier - Easily the form centre for NSW. A no-brainer
4. Jennings - Completely dominated his opposition centre J Morris in CVC. You can see what he's capable of when playing outside some decent halves
5. Hayne - Is always one of NSW best player. Another no-brainer
6. Soward - Deserves his spot. Excellent kicking game and is starting to run the football more
7. Mullen/Pearce - In CVC, Mullen's kicking game looked far superior to Pearce's, but Pearce's passing game looked class resulting in two try assists. It's a tough decision
8. Snowden - Played ok for Australia, but his form has been outstanding this year
9. Ennis - Farah looks out of form, or injured so I'd go with Ennis
10. Galloway - I was thinking about Tolman, but I think he would get dominated up front due to his lack of size. Galloway has been great for the Tigers this year
11. Watmough - I don't care what his attitude has been like. He's always one of NSW best
12. Gallen (c) - Arguably one of the best forwards in the world. Had a very good game for Australia Friday night
13. Bird - Like Watmough and Hayne, he always steps up for NSW. Prefer him at lock where he can roam the field and cause havoc
14. Lewis/Gordon - Hopefully Lewis recovers well. His utility value would be handy with Gidley out. Otherwise I'd go with Gordon
15. Dwyer - He's my bolter. A very good hole runner who has been causing plenty of damage this year and in CVC. He can be our impact backrower
16. Learoyd-Lahrs - Ran with plenty of gusto in CVC. Has been badly out of form, but he has been the only prop for NSW that has bent the line in the last few years
17. Mannah - Wasn't that good for City, but is in good form for Parra
