I would say Ford Mustang GT good sir. American cars are generally cheaper to fix (well here in the U.S. anyways) and offer great performance. The Mustang GT is at the top of its class in the American market currently. Some 412HP at 6500rpm and 390 lb/ft TQ at 4250rpm. They're quiet (unless you put some beautiful single chamber mufflers on for around $500), smooth, handle well, and cost far less than repairs on a Mercedes!

Either a Supra or Mustang. Both are very awesome cars, especially if you modify them. Personally I would go for a Mustang GT, or if money REALLY isn't an option, get the GT500
