What's the deal with the Flat Earth society?

The only evidence for a flat earth is in the Bible (Isaiah 40:22).

The only important flat earth atlas is Cosmas Indicopleustes Christian Topography.

So you can't be a flat earther without being a believer.

Martin Luther still believed that the earth was flat in the sixteenth century:

Scripture simply says that the moon, the sun, and the stars were placed in the firmament of heaven, below and above which heaven are the waters...We Christians must be different from the philosophers [astronomers] in the way we think about the causes of things. The Flat Earth Society is an elaborate joke. Satire.

Their "theory" doesn't hold up for one second.
