Acting and modeling Agency asked for recent pictures?
Okay, I had an appointment at OneSourceTalent yesterday and they said they wanted me to come back for an extended interview and to bring 5 -10 recent photos of me just to see how I would picture myself. Um, wtf does that mean? Im going on facebook and picking out 2 or 3 photos with me looking great and posing. And maybe going to the Garden and taking pictures with my mom. I don't really know what type of pictures they are expecting. Anyone with experience or knowledge please Answer! my interview it Monday!!!

They want you to bring in some general pictures of you from within the last 6 months. You can pick a few out from facebook, maybe a few professional ones- basically any picture that brings out your beauty! Try some with different styles/hairdos. For example, have a dressy picture and then a casual one. Experiment with anything available to you! :D
Good luck!

I've had no real experience but I do have a few friends who have done professional modeling so I'm just gonna 'advise' you with what I know. Anyway, usually modeling agencies are looking for Polaroids of yourself without any makeup on, all natural, so they can see how well you photograph (how photogenic you are, basically). You don't need to go all out and have yourself done up for professional pictures or pick out a nice location to take a picture at, you just need a plain background - like a white wall. If you don't have a Polaroid, a digital camera will do. You can send the photos to a photo developing shop to get them printed or do it yourself. Hope I helped!

One Source is not an agency and they should not be claiming to be an agency. They are talent "advisors"
I have no personal experience but read what the BBB says about them
http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/One-Source-T...
"Company Rating F
Our opinion of what this rating means:
We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.
"BBB Comments and Analysis
These companies generally advertise for talent implying that by responding you will have started on your road to stardom. The advertisement is to entice recipients to engage in obtaining acting or modeling employment. The catch is that everyone who responds generally needs training, or photos to go before a camera or down a runway. This training is really what these companies are selling, and their courses can obligate you for thousands of dollars. In reality, they cannot guarantee you employment, and you will not find such a guarantee in their written contract.
"Complaint Experience
Complainants allege misrepresentation of services, difficulties with the company's refund and cancellation policies, and unauthorized credit card charges for previously undisclosed fees. Some customers complain that the company charges an additional $400 charge to their credit cards as a material fee without their authorization. The company responds to most complaints by providing a description of thier company's services, and refusing most refund requests. The company states they are not a talent agency.........."

I think what they mean is that if you picture yourself bubbly then take a picture that shows that. They are doing that see if you can express different feelings and emotion.
