need advice about contact lenses?

2 months ago i went to lense crafters for a eye exam for a new pair of glasses. the new glasses are not better then my old prescription, but the doctor said everyone says that, its fine. I did get used to them over the last 2 months, but always had this cross-eyed feeling eitherway. but i could see (im in my 40's).

I decided to get contacts as i hate glasses working outside at work and sweat makes them fall off, ect..ectc...

i went back to lense crafters yesterday and just walked in (no wait), and asked for contact lense prescription, they chraged me another 95.00dollars, and took me to the back room, where the ONLY thing happened was the doctor opening up a contact pak and putting a contact in in each eye (he checked nothing).

I told him its blurry , he siad i have to get used to it, i asked to have my eyes rechecked, he said that wold cost more money and wasnt needed as i just had a exam 2 months ago with him(for glasses only).

that was yesterday, my eyes hurt and vision was not right. this morning i tried switching the contacts just in case he made a mistake, and guess what.... the vision is better, and the uncomfortable feeling in my right eye is gone.

so it seems he charged me 100bucks to put contacts in the wrong eyes. but the other issue is still nothing is as crisp as my glasses, not even bright red numbers on my clock, which i used to be able to see from the living room looking down the hallway into the bedroom , now its never clear enough to read unless im in front of it.

i spent to much money to be brushed off, and with glasses, i get perfect 20/20 visoin..

what should i do, go down their and kick his butt? as he really just seemed more interested in rushing me out the door for other customers then to deal with my concerns, and yes i could go somewhere else, but i basically paid him a lot of money to just walk away.

**Note: im about to puke right now trying to see the screen to try this letter, i feel like i do when im trying to read when the wifes driveing (motion sickness feeling) {its a common thing for somepeople}

    Go back to him. The extra money charged to you was for a contact lens fitting but it seems like that service was not properly performed. An optometrist is required to fit you for contacts every time they are prescribed whether it is your first time wearing them or you're an experienced wearer. You need to go back and ask to have your contact prescription checked. They should not charge you for this, they are normally required to re-check the prescription as often as necessary to make sure the prescription is correct. Sounds like you were just rushed through the process without him making sure everything was correct. I would probably choose a different doctor for your next exam when your current prescription expires.

    Hm.. I would not have that so much recommendation approximately touch lenses.. however I'll deliver this query a shot. My eyesight is very similar to yours.. I want my glasses for distance, doing matters akin to studying the board at university and looking TV at the sofa. I bought glasses a couple of years in the past, however refused to put on them. I consistently squinted at university and not ever took well notes at university. The subsequent time I went for an eye fixed scan, I needed to get a fair more potent perscription due to the fact my eyes bought that so much worse from no longer dressed in them. So both get glasses or contacts, and put on them.. do not allow your eyesight worsen! The factor approximately contacts is, no longer every body can put on them. My pal honestly bought them the opposite day, and it was once very fast for her.. she simply went in and so they confirmed her methods to placed them in and she or he left, no discomfort. Some men and women have touchy eyes and simply cannot put on them. You and your healthcare professional will work out the case, however in the event you cannot get them for some thing intent, you must begin dressed in your glasses, or get a brand new pair. I recognise greater than any person how terrible it's to put on a couple of glasses that you do not like. If the frames you will have are not flattering, get a brand new pair that you are going to honestly put on. Bring a pal or a loved ones member even, any individual that you simply rather believe and decide upon out ones that seem well on you. Ask the men and women on the retailer which of them fit you high-quality.. it is rather imporant to get a couple you favor. Whichever you opt for, well good fortune. And in the event you get glasses and are feeling self concious, do not fear approximately it. Just put on them regularly so men and women get used to you with them on. In university, it isn't a colossal deal in any respect. School is extra approximately finding out and so much men and women may not even seem two times. Always seem constructive although, due to the fact watching shy and preserving your head down, will simply draw in extra concentration!
