    m = (5 - 2)/(9 - 3)

    = 3/6

    = ½

    Finally...

    y - 5 = ½(x - 9)

    y - 5 = x/2 - 9/2

    y = x/2 + ½

    I hope this helps!

    well the equation of the line is this:

    y = x (equation one)

    this is the basic equation of the line

    in this equation the slope is one, because y = mx, with m as slope, then y =(1)X = x

    finally we have an other important equation, the slope equation

    that's m =(Y-y) /(X-x)

    Now we replace with

    Y = 5

    y = 2

    X = 9

    x = 3

    then, m = (5-2) /(9-3) = 3/6 = 1/2 = m, slope

    now replacing m in,

    y = mx,

    y = x/2

    Now we need show the equation in this way y = mx + b, we have this part y = mx but we need the "b", the b is a constant that move the graphic from the point 0,0 in the cartesian plane, so

    we return to the equation of the slope m =(Y-y) /(X-x)

    finally we need just replace one point and try to show the equation in this way y = mx + b

    clearing the (Y-y) from the equation so the slope we have:

    m(X-x) = (Y-y); this is the nearest part to y = mx + b

    now we replace one point like (3,2) or (9,5), then I'll be working with (3,2) because I love the small numbers,

    with

    m = 1/2

    X = ?

    x = 3

    Y = ?

    y = 2

    so, m(X-x) = (Y-y) is (1/2)(X-3)=(Y-2)

    X/2 - 3/2 = Y - 2

    X/2 - 3/2 + 2 = Y

    X/2 + 1/2 = Y, this is the equation of the line, and the b that we were searching was 1/2.

    you can prove it replacing the point

    Prove to (3,2) in this case when X = 3, Y=2.

    let's prove it

    X/2 + 1/2 = Y, with X=3

    3/2 + 1/2 = Y

    1.5 + 0.5 = 2 = Y, works very good,

    now let's see the other one point (9,5)

    X/2 + 1/2 = Y, with X = 9

    9/2 + 1/2 = Y

    4.5 + 0.5 = 5 = Y, finally it's perfect enjoy it.

    Take it undemanding Latrice 4x-12x=2 ????? ( I presume the equation is 4x-12y=2) 12y = 4x - 2 y = (a million/3)x - a million/6 (slope = a million/3) the objective line has a slope of - 3 and passes by way of element (10,-a million) -3 = (y+a million)/(x-10) -3(x-10) = (y+a million) -3x + 30 = y + a million y = -3x + 29 the respond is D , (you will ignored the + sign)

    slope of line = (5 - 2)/(9 - 3) = 3/6 = 1/2

    Equation of line:

    y - 2 = 1/2*(x - 3)

    y = x/2 + 1/2

    2y - x = 1

    m = 3/6 = 1/2

    y - 2 = (1/2) ( x - 3 )

    y = (1/2) x - 3/2 + 2

    y = (1/2) x + 1/2

    Asquared+Bsquared=Csquared will get you lenghth of the line

    y=a+bx (y=mx+b)

    A^2*B^2=C^2

    Plot the points!!!

    I'm sorry, I know how, but I forgot....
