I'll just "ditto" everything that Diane M. said, since it was pretty much my spiel verbatim. But, I'll add a few things:
Thinking that you will be tortured in Hell is the conditioning of the proto-modern Christian church. (Witch-burning era, for example, and during the creation period of the Malleus Maleficorum.) The assumed "torturous Hell" exists only as a control mechanism, and is a primal version of appeal to morality. The Hell mentioned throughout the Bible and other texts thereof (in context) refers to the land of the dead: in much Old Testament, it is, in Hebrew, She'ol, and in the latter part of the OT and the NT, Hades.
You aren't invisible because you are a carbon-based lifeform. Carbon has color, unlike oxygen or certain other gases. You have color in the same way that trees, cute fluffy kittens, and bland office buildings have a color.
The phrasing was literal FOR Jesus but metaphorical FROM Jesus. Jesus essentially wanted to tell everyone that they should chill out and live life for the betterment of humanity: as a born-and-raised Jew, this entailed the usage of God. The thing with him was that he actively credited his existence to God, since in Hebrew/Jewish culture the word for create is the same as the term for paternal procreation. Father/Creator God, to Jesus, deserved the credit, but Jesus actively preached that Jews and "Gentiles" (non-Jews) were both OK since they too had their "God."

'Image' does not mean physical form. God has no physical form. 'Image' means you are an independent being, with free will and (at least in some cases) intelligence.
The belly button means you actually had a mother, surprisingly enough.
Source(s): Edit: Let's try again. When the Bible speaks of being created in God's image, it does not mean you were created to look like God. God has no physical form - you could not be created as a material being without a physical form. What it means is that you were created in His image spiritually - you have intelligence, free will. It means you're a person. What that has to do with being tortured in Hell I'm sure I don't know. You seem to have plucked that out of thin air. I presume this has also answered your question about invisibility? Edit 2: Sorry, I find I have something else to say. Nick, if you want to mock Christianity, please do so with my blessings. You'll be in good company. But please, try to understand it before you mock it. Making fun of something that you clearly don't understand is just painful. - Anonymous1 decade ago
Nick. shhhhhhh. You are making a fool out of yourself. John 3:16 God Bless
edit...You didnt listen to me Nick. Now you are a fool.

Do you think you were created in the image of an imaginary being with little to no moral values?

He opens the oven, presses his finger into everyone's belly and says 'You're done, you're done.....'
He has a belly button too but He did it Himself. 'I'm done' and leapt out of the oven causing a very big bang.
