I set up a limited company over two months ago and appointed an accountant who was to help with company registration, VAT etc. I have been waiting all this time for my VAT number but up to yesterday it hadn't been issued, although my accountant said it had been applied for both by post and online and that she had been issued with a temporary number for me to use. I submitted some invoices with this 'temporary number and, of course they have been returned unpaid because the number is wrong. I phoned the VAT office yesterday to see if I could find out how my application was progressing and to ask them about my temporary number. I was told by them that there is no such thing as a temporary VAT number and also that they had no record of any application for VAT registration for my company. This matter has put me at serious risk of having to close down the company as there is no cash-flow until I can get registered. Can anyone offer me any advice on what my options are?

Doesn't that get in the way of America's world plan? Or is this amendment reserved solely for Americans?

Why wasn't it 'don't drink dirty water' or 'be nice to people'? Is god so insecure that his first thought was for himself (even though, we're told there is no other god) and not for the non-omniscient, non-omnipresent and non-omnipotent mortals who it created? Wow! Your god's got some major issues!

If this was any other organisation it would have been closed down years ago and the leaders brought to justice. What's so special about the catholics?

I'm constantly being told that I am a sinner according to the word of some god. If I took this to court against another person who couldn't prove that I had done wrong I would win the case. If I took The Church to court and they failed to provide one single shred of evidence for the existence of god and therefore no proof that I am a sinner, who would win?

Can you prove beyond all reasonable doubt that god exists? I think you'll find that 12 men good and true would find it difficult to rule in your favour without habeus corpus. You may believe that god exists but don't tell the children that it is a fact or they'll confuse truth with blind faith.....2 completely different things
