Would it be possible to sue The Church for defamation of character?
I'm constantly being told that I am a sinner according to the word of some god. If I took this to court against another person who couldn't prove that I had done wrong I would win the case. If I took The Church to court and they failed to provide one single shred of evidence for the existence of god and therefore no proof that I am a sinner, who would win?

The word sin originated as an archery term, meaning falling short of the target.
Spiritually the 'target' is to love God and to love all fellow humans, all the time without reservation.
So, if you are confident you have done that (or even part 2) go ahead and sue!

I'd give evidence to support you if you did! Apparently my piercings have damned me forever...
