    God likes hermaphrodites the best.

Thus, we all should be hermaphrodites.

    Genesis 1:27

And God created the human in God's own image, in the image of God created - both male and female

    Genesis 2:21

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the human, and it slept; and He took one side, and closed up the place with flesh instead thereof

22 And the side, which the LORD God had taken from the human, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.

The above is a Hebrew translation that attempts to properly take into consideration the diffferences between Hebrew and English grammar and other linguistic peculiarities.

If you realy wanted to be literal with the account, you can very much read the story as the creation of a Hermaphrodite.

'Course, that's what we call a "Klutz Kasha" -- a "smart *** question"

you don't seriously propose to be so hyper literal in understanding "image of God" - do you?

Well, I'm bisexual, so I guess if that's a criteria for being created in God's image, I suppose I'm close.

The thing is, God isn't finished. Just because He made Adam way back then, it didn't mean that it was done once Adam began walking around. Adam was corruptible and went ahead and became corrupted. The salvation brought by Jesus put us a step in the right direction. Holding onto that keeps me going in that direction he wanted to finish me in. I'm not finished until he removes that nature of corruption from me when it's all over, I'll be incorruptible like He is. Then I'll be that man made in His own image. Not even the angels are incorruptible. And right now, I'm no where close to being incorruptible, but I'm on the way!

allow to correct your misunderstanding here:

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Gen 1.27)

according to genesis, the two together make up god's image, and that's why jesus made such a big deal about divorce:

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (Matt 19.4-6)

Being created in God's image means we are moral beings who care about right, wrong and justice. That's what separates us from the animals, as animals do not set up court systems.

Why aren't "I we"? I assume that you began to write "I," stating that you yourself "why aren't I a hermaphrodite." Sounds like you've got a little secret.

Prove god is not a hermaphrodite.

God is masculine and Adam was made first. Then Eve was made out of Adam so technically she's the image of God too right?

Adam was created in the image of God.

    Adam fell.

You are created in the image of fallen man.

That is why Jesus said that you must be born again

@Tuberoot: No, no, no. You are now attempting to claim that your sin makes you closer to God?

God is not a hermaphrodite, dumbass. He doesn't reproduce at all.
