editing program for panasonic hmc-150 camcorder?

what video editing program could i use to edit videos from my panasonic hmc150 camcorder?

i tried vegas pro 9 but it doesnt work..

well yeah thats the problem i dont know of any programs that can open it..i tried vegas pro 9 and movie maker but neither of them work...i want to know if theres one i can buy or download that will definitely work for my camcorder

    AVCHD video is a nightmare to edit,

    Adobe premier from CS3 will edit the video, you can get a 30 day trial for that, Windows MM is no help, there are plenty around but you have to pay for the good ones. Adobe Elements will edit AVCHD have a look here

    I think Vegas Pro 10 should do AVCHD. I'm also pretty certain the new Avid Studio does AVCHD. There's also Corel/Ulead Videostudio.

    I don't anticipate that Windows Movie Maker would work.

    All have free trial versions so you can try them out to see how they work before shelling out any cash.

    Once you have it on your computer, you should be able to use just about anything that can handle the file type.
