I'm getting a piercing ?
I'm 17 turning 18 in November. I'm planning on getting and industrial piercing this Saturday. & I just wanted to know what kind of papers I have to sign. What they say and all that. Other than the parental consent paper. Is it like the paper you sign when you get a tattoo Asking you if you have a disease or an illness of some sort? etc.
BTW I live in Utah.

Basically it will say that you acknowledge there is a possibility of pain, scarring and infection. You will have to sign saying that you are not under the influence of anything. Etc. It's all liability forms so you can't go back and sue them.
Source(s): I've had so many I practically have my shop's form memorized. Lol - Anonymous1 decade ago
It asked you questions about any infectious diseases (AIDS, hep ABC, etc) you may have, allergy information (latex, ferrous metals) and possibly medication info (blood thinners, anti-rejection meds, etc)
All the paper does is protect the piercer from legal liability in most cases. Nothing to worry about, really but important, nonetheless.
