Is it okay to relocate sqiurrels?

We have a problem with these three squirrels always coming to our bird feeder so i look out the doors today and my dad captured one of them to relocate.

i released him because i dont like that idea at all, which hes going to get really mad at me but whatever.

is it okay to do that? he works like 10 minutes away and was going to release him there but what if he has a family? and he was in that cage all day and he would probably keep him there all night.

i feel bad for releasing him but i feel bad for the squirrel.i dont want it to get all confused you know?

Its probably pointless to relocate the squirrel. Your dad will never be able to get rid of every squirrel and squirrels can travel pretty far to get back "home". Even a 10 minute drive away, it would probably wander right back.

Just tell your dad you felt bad, and if he is going to capture it, tell him to take it straight away and give it some food while its in the cage so it isn't suffering and scared all night.

Hang the bird feeder from a tall tree branch or something and have it hang pretty far down on a thin string. Make sure it isn't near any branches, and isn't low to the ground and the squirrels won't be able to reach it. Problem solved :D
