nickon af 8008 lens out of FOCUS?

PURCHASED NIKO AF 8008 BODY ADDED ADAPTER RING FOR 40 MM SCREW LENS MOUNT

    Does the adapter contain a glass element? If it's straight through meaning you can poke your finger through it, then that's the problem. You should have bought the more expensive version, the one with a glass piece in it and aptly described as "focus to infinity possible" or something to the tune of that.

    The M42 mount and the Nikon F mount have different lens flange indexes. M42 is shorter so a straight through adapter wouldn't work.
