questions about 83 Camaro with 305?

The computer controls the accelrator pump shot on the carb, basically. Don't worry about it.

Install a 4 hole one inch thick carburetor spacer for a QuadraJet. Those carbs are great pieces, you simply have to set them up for yours. Their factory calibrations are stupid insane once you throw the Alcohol at them that is present in Gasoline. Have to size both the Main and Idle air bleeds, idle tubes, secondary emulsion tube size, idle by-pass air size, time the choke pull-off release rate to around 1.5 to 2 seconds, set float at 1/4 inch. THEN... They fly and are flawless. Send yours to me and I will do it up for you, if you want.

I make a camshaft for these engines which idles perfectly, gains 2-3 MPG, 37 HP at the rear wheels, and works with stock exhaust system. No engine modifications necessary with it other than a fresh valve spring that is not already worn out. And... I guarantee it. If it still has the old pellet style catalytic converter on it, get rid of that, as it is an insane restriction. ANYTHING is better than that.

yes the 305 carb has a computer control on it and has the O2 sensor also,i had a 83 Z28 with the cross fire injection and it was a dog,GM changed over to the 4bbl carb just for this fact.
