  • Got my first ticket ever for having off-road lights?

So im 18, never had a ticket before and i got my first ticket today. it was for having my roof mounted off-road lights on while driving :/ The ticket was for "driving down the road blinding traffic with 4 auxilary lights" There is also no fee written on the ticket.

What should i do? ive read the ticket over and over and it seems my options are to either accept the charge and mail in payment (which i dont know the amount of) or show up in court? The state is NC.

about how much is it gonna cost? any advice is appreciated!!

  • Another math problem i cant solve!!!?

Moment of inertia describes an objects ability to resist bending. The moment of inertia for a rectangular beam is represented by the formula I= bh^3 /12 where:

    I moment of interia

    b base width

    h height

If the beam's base width is 120 mm and the height is 420 mm, what is the beam's moment of inertia in inches^4?

So i dont know what inches^4 is..... ive tried using the fourth root of the answer that i get but i cant get the right answer.. ive tried this problem over 15 times.....

  • Please help me solve this algebra problem?

Wilma drove at an average speed of 35 mph from her home in City A to visit her sister in City B.

She stayed in City B hours, and on the trip back averaged 50 mph. She returned home 43 hours after leaving.

1 ) We have to determine how many miles "X" is it from City A to City B.

In terms of , express Wilma's driving time from A to B

    It is:____________

2.) In terms of "X", her return driving time is:__________

3.) Her TOTAL driving time is: __________ (trip time minus visiting time)

So answer from 1. PLUS 2. set equal to 3. is the equation:

    __________=__________ .

which is the equation we must use to solve for "X". Your answer for "X" is : _________

You don't need this "hint", but many are making a simple mistake. Distance equals Speed times Time; Time does not equal Distance times Speed.

The teacher provided a help video of how to do it but the link he gave was broken. I know D=R*T but i keep getting everything mixed up.

  • Help with Physics please! Vectors!?

Ive tried this question several times and have correctly solved part A but part B i can not get correct. I got 55 degrees for part B but it says its incorrect! I also tried subtracting that from 180 to get 125 which it also says is incorrect. Im lost!

An airplane flies 200 km due west from city A to city B and then 315 km in the direction of 34.0° north of west from city B to city C.

    (a) In straight-line distance, how far is city C from city A?

(i got 458km) which shows to be correct

    (b) Relative to city A, in what direction is city C? (in degrees)

    Thanks

  • Please help me understand velocity and acceleration..?

Ive been reading the notes for my physics class about acceleration and velocity and im quite confused.

    Example

Two cars are moving in the same direction in parallel lanes along a highway. At some instant, the velocity of car A exceeds the velocity of car B. Does that mean that the acceleration of A is greater than that of B at that instant?

That was a question and the answer is no. I dont understand because the cars are traveling the same direction, and they have the the same velocity except for at that one instant, so they would never pass each other unless one experienced positive acceleration or the other experienced negative acceleration, because if they were traveling at a constant velocity there would be no acceleration. So how is it that one cars velocity (displacement/time) can increase without the acceleration changing in a parallel line? I could understand the change if at that instant one car was slightly turning while the other one was going straight... please help me understand...thanks

  • Buying a car, difficult situation. Help please?

So i was looking at a 94 plymouth laser turbo that was on craigslist. I called the guy about the car several times but always got a message saying the phone had been disconnected. So i emailed the guy about the car with a phone number to contact me at. About a week later he texted me and said he still had the car. It was originally priced at $1000 because it needs some work, but the guy told me he got arrested under the wrong warrant for someone else, thats why his phone was disconnected, he was in jail. Supposedly someone stole his identity or something and he got arrested for something he didnt do. The car was impounded when he was first arrested, but he is out of jail now and doesnt have money to get the car out, since he has to get a lawyer and stuff. He lowered the price to $500 and said it would cost $400 to get it out of the impound lot. If it cost any more he would just subtract it from the $1000 he was originally asking. But i dont know anything about how impounding works. He has the title to the car and says its clean. So how do i go about getting the car? He said he would ride to the impound lot with me because they wont let me get the car out unless he is with me.

I really like this car and have big hopes for it, dont just blow it off and say get a job and get a nicer car or some stupid crap like that. I need help with this situation.

  • Oil dumping on rear exhaust manifold, 98 toyota avalon?

I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon with 205k miles on it. I took it to a service place to get an alignment performed on it, and they also changed the oil, but for a week now i have smelled oil burning when i turn on my air conditioning or heat. So sitting in drive thru today i saw smoke coming out from under the hood, i pulled into a parking spot and opened the hood. there was smoke coming from the rear exhaust manifold, that is burning oil. i checked the oil in the car and it is below the safe line. i also noticed that around the manifold, and under it, is covered in oil. The car did not do this before the oil was changed. i still have coolant and i don't think its blowing smoke out the exhaust. so what could it be? and i know it isn't that the guy spilled oil on it, because the oil cap is right over the front exhaust manifold, no where near the rear.
