Help wiring subwoofers..?

I have one Kicker 12" CVR Dual voice coil (4 ohm each coil) and one sony xplod 4 ohm sub. My amp is only 2 ohm stable. How can i wire these 2 subs to be 2 ohms or close to 2 ohms

Hmmm....what models of the subs do you have exactly?

Some problems you will run into, trying to run two different woofers off one amp and in the same box....is different power handling. And different pushing/pulling do to different specs.

You could have major cancellation, or major sound quality loss. Especially if both woofers are doing different things at the same time. And in all tense and purposes, it can also hurt the woofers themselves pushing and pulling for their own air. So I highly highly suggest not running both woofers at the same time in the same box. Separately in different box....off separate channels of an amp MAYBE....but otherwise not a good idea.

If you need help wiring woofers these places have decent examples/diagrams:

its not good to mix subs like that because they will play differently and can cause damage to the amp, subs or both

for you to use different subs these specs should be the same

--RMS wattage handling range (you dont want to over/under power one of the speakers)

--frequency response range (if they dont play the same you can get cancellation of sound)

--speaker sensitivity (they will not play at the same volume)

--as far as impedance (ohms) they must be the same at the amp or the power will take the path of least resistance and power the speaker with the lower impedance

dont mix subs. you will be better off with just one.
