What is you favorite video game of all time?
1) What's your favorite video game of all time?
2) What gaming system was it for (or that you played it on)?
3) Why was that game your favorite?
This game doesn't have to be what you think is the best game ever made. Just what one was your favorite. (i.e. someone might feel that Halo was the best game ever made, but their favorite game of all time might have been Duke Nukem for Nintendo 64.) Also, this doesn't have to be just console type gaming systems. It could also be games for the computer, arcade, etc.

This game is one of my favorites. I actually didn't play this game on its original system, Super Nintendo. I actually played it on a PC emulator. I loved it so much, my fiance got me an old Super Nintendo and a used cartridge from somewhere so I could play it on the console.
The game is basically a turn-based RPG. Its about a young boy named Chrono and his nerdy inventor friend, Luca. They inadvertently cause a rift in time, when they test out one of Luca's gadgets on a young girl they meet at the fair, Merle. She gets sucked in to a vortex and Chrono, being the valiant character he has to be, chases after her. And so the epic adventure begins, crossing the past, present, and future, and revealing a dark fate that awaits their world.
There are so many reasons why I loved this game. First, the story is very engrossing. I really got in to it. It has a wide variety of characters that come and go in your party. Each one has a unique role that they play in the story. Some of them even join you in surprising ways. There were also a bunch of different times and places to explore.
Second, there are tons of magic attacks, team combos, weapons, skills, armors, and upgrades. I loved the battle system. It was simple and efficient. Battles were frustratingly frequent, but always fun, and valuable in pumping up your characters.
Third, I haven't found another RPG that has had the same quality of story and game mechanics. The game just hooked me. And though I've played some fun ones (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), Chrono Trigger still tops them.

I'm a huge RPG fan so in that category, I'd have to say that pretty much the entire Final Fantasy series was right at the top of my list. I played this series from the Super Nintendo to the Playstation 2 to the PC.
As far as action goes, I've always thought highly of the Grand Theft Auto series for the Playstation 2.
In the Nintendo category, I will always appreciate everything that has been part of the Legend Of Zelda series. This is true brilliance on the part of Nintendo and Zelda was/is outstanding from Nintendo to SNES to Nintendo 64 to Gamecube to Wii.
There are more but those listed above are some of my standout favorites......

1) Final Fantasy VI (released as FFIII in the US)
2) SNES
3) FFVI was the first game I'd played that had such an engrossing story and intriguing characters. I've been an RPG fan ever since.
I'll add I've been a gamer since the Atari, but there had never been a game that captivated me like FFVI.

PS2
Unique story, emotional connection, nice graphics. The story is that you have to escape some castle-like place with a girl who you find in a cage. She can't help herself so you have to guide her or else these shadows will come and take her.
Kingdom Hearts
PS2
Fun and nostalgic of Disney. I still haven't played any of the sequels.
I would say Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as well, for it's exploration and story.
I have a PS3 which is funny. But like my PS2 games

Counter Strike Source Online :D
Counter-Strike: Source (officially abbreviated CS:S) is an FPS video game developed by Valve Corporation. It is a complete remake of Counter-Strike using the Source game engine. As in the original, Counter-Strike: Source pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won either by completing an objective (such as detonating a bomb or rescuing hostages) or by eliminating all members of the opposing team.

The best game I had ever played was Gta San Andreas.
I played it on ps2 because it runs smoothly on ps2,good graphics and great fun playing it.
We can also play it on pc but to have more fun use an analogue controller with vibration.
It was my favorite because it has fun missions a lot to play i believe you will like it.
