97 jeep 318, a/c system fully charged, nothing buy hot air?
I put about 45 lb's of r134a in the system, the switch works great, the compressor kicks on when it should and works 100 percent of the time once i charged it. now what? I'm new to A/c systems, what else would go wrong? I feel cold air on the lines going into the firewall. I have no idea where or how a typical unit travels, so fill me in, what else is the possible solution?

First off you didn't put 45lbs of freon in the system, you should have about 40-45 lbs on the low side gauge that would be right.
Let me explain the A/C system and maybe it will help you understand better.
The compressor will compress the freon and push it through the condenser in the front of the engine, it will go in hot and the return line coming out should be the same temp as the outside air (if not your fan is not doing it's job) as the freon is cooled it changes to a liquid which is pushed through the orifice tube or the expansion valve which ever you have and the job of the tube is to spray the liquid freon into the evaporator, that spray will be cold and it takes the heat from the coils and back around to the compressor and it starts all over again.
There are other things in the system like the low and high pressure switches that are there to keep the compressor from running to high or low and there are doors in the heater/A/C unit in the dash that direct the air which could be you problem. I given you the basics, it is now up to you to fine out if the problem is in the doors in the heater or the fan in the radiator. Good luck.
