Can I have your opinion on buying jewellery please?

I would be grateful if you could answer the following question:

Do you, or would consider buying pre-owned silver, gold, palladium, platinum or other valuable metal jewellery for yourself or for somebody else? If yes, what would you expect and be important to you when buying pre-owned jewellery?

1. Low price, comparable to new, high street prices?

2. Well presented and boxed?

3. Is the quality of the presentation box important, and do you think it reflects the quality of the product?

4. Good quality and polished etc items?

5. Buying unusual items?

6. Having a full refund policy?

7. What type of jewellery would you consider buying?

8. Would you have any preference to the type of metal?

Any other (useful) comments would be appreciated.

I would consider, but only to buy for myself.

    1. Low price, comparable to new, high street prices? I would expect to pay more for the quality and metal used, but low prices are always better than high prices!

    2. Well presented and boxed? I prefer it to be boxed if buying from a jewellers

    3. Is the quality of the presentation box important, and do you think it reflects the quality of the product? Yes, cheap box makes it feel cheap, expensive looking box is better

    4. Good quality and polished etc items? More likely to buy something already pollished

    5. Buying unusual items? I like fairly normal usual jewellery items, unless something interesting catches my eye, like rings.

    6. Having a full refund policy? Important for some people, i usually only buy something unless i'm certain though, so rarely take things back, especially jewellery, but if it was bought to go with something, then you get home and find it isnt right, then being able to return it would be good. Depends on the price as well though.

    7. What type of jewellery would you consider buying? Anything but earrings - pre-owned would be weird.

    8. Would you have any preference to the type of metal?
