Web Development in Java?

I like to learn web site development in Java. What book(s) is recommended for a beginner like me?

I have knowledge in web development platforms such as HTML, ASP.NET, PHP etc.

    This is a large question. JavaEE is for Enterprise solutions. Java server-side isn't so straight-forward as php unless we speak of frameworks.

    Peruse the link I give you to get a general idea. The author's book is old, but very valuable shelf reference.
