How do you rewrite this so it is not in fractional form?

    Since cosecant is the same as one over sine, you can just turn it into (tanx)(sin(x-1)). Here's a breakdown of the rewrite if you have a hard time doing that in your head.

    (tanx)/(csc(x-1))

    (tanx)/(1/(sin(x-1))) [Rewrite (csc) as (1/sin)]

    (tanx) * (sin(x-1))/1 [Flip fraction being divided so it's multiplied by its reciprocal--basic fraction rule]

    (tanx)(sin(x-1)) [Don't need one as a denominator--fully simplified]

    Bingo--no longer in fractional form.
