Samsung 40" T.V. Picture Quality Plummeted.?

I purchased a 40" Samsung HD T.V. from Sears just before Christmas 2010. When I hooked everything up it worked great. A couple of months ago the T.V.'s picture quality suddenly plummeted with no wiring changes. I tried adjusting the picture color with no improvements. I viewed diagnostic example built in to T.V. and all those colors look great. When I go back to my HD T.V. Cable programs the colors are less than good. It seems either the sky is too green or the trees are too blue or the skin color is too red. I don't see any yellow on any channel. I've had my cable company (Mediacom) come out three times to check the signal strength and replace some connector ends. They tell me the signal is strong but my picture is still not good. Below are my T.V.'s specs:

Model code: UN4C5000 QF

Software Version: T-MSX5AUSC-2006

I would appreciate your help in solving this problem!

Update:

Plug something else into the tv to check the picture. A blu ray or dvd player. If it looks good it's the cable box. Use the same input as your cable box to do the test. If the picture from the dvd player is also messed up, you should call Samsung for warranty service.

Your cable company may need to provide a new box, their boxes go bad all the time so you may need that if the dvd pic is good.

So the coloring is off on your cable programming? It may be a sign of cables going bad. I remember an old DVD player I used to have. If you rotated the cables while they were attached to the TV, it would change the hue. Crazy stuff.

i will wager that what you're finding is that the image is extremely blocky. you're able to desire to attempt something it quite is HD (like an X container or PS3) on it & see if the image high quality is extra useful with that. no count if it quite is then i might purchase A HD Sky container & watch television using that quite of regular sky!
