Is it advisable to mix brands of gasoline?
I always purchase Exxon gasoline because I know that it is quality gas, but because I have a credit card for that brand. Recently two Exxon stations where I've purchased gas over the years have switched brands to Shell. I don't have a credit card for Shell, but I could apply for one. The Shell stations had cheaper priced gas than Exxon Stations that I pass. Therefore, I was wondering if mixing gas of two different brands cause any problems for the car or should I have no problem by using both Exxon and Shell gasolines?

mixing gas will not hurt a thing, 9 times out of 10 you have probably been using shell gas anyway at the exxon station.

the gas is all the same in that department, unless you are talking on mixing different octane's. You will not have any problems, unless there is water in their gas holding cell, in which would put bad gas in your car.
